Fire Night: Devil's Night 4.5

Penelope Douglas you never disappoint!
Devils' Night Series has been my most favourite series of all times and having Fire Night just made me so much more happy. The characters are so interesting, each one with their own twisted stories and Penelop did justice to them all. Even in Fire Night we see insights into their lives after all dust has settled down but the dust never does settle down for them like ever, does it?It is always a pleasure to dive into this roller coster with Michaal, Rika, Kai, Banks, Damon, Winter, Will and Em. I will forever treasure this beautifully intricate series!

"No one stops us, no one owns us"
Fire Night is a short novella that takes place ten months prior to the epilogue in Nightfall.I loved the Devil's Night series and I couldn't get enough of every single character. Now that the four horsemen have their own little families, it made me want even more. The author gave every couple their own time and space. I always loved Kai & Damon and now their kids have a real interesting story. Though Penelope said that she didn't have any intentions to write about the second generation of the horsemen, I'm curious to know more about the dynamics between their kids when they grow up.I loved how everyone got their happy endings and the interaction between Damon & Christene was heart touching. Damon would always bet my top favourite horseman and I was really happy with the way he understood his kids and took care of them.Overall the novella gave me the much needed closure and at the same time left me curious ;-p

Overwhelmed
It was barely hundred pages but still manages to stir so many emotions. Watching all of them as parents, finally together and happy filled my heart in ways words can't describe. I'm going to miss them so much. They all have made a special place in my heart. Mad and Octavia stole the book. They have so much potential for 2nd gen😭.Seeing Banks getting all the love and affection she always deserved filled my heart. Damon making up with her mother and Will being will 💗.The best thing about it ?? Alex wasn't bulldozing with her uninvited presence !! It was just the families, the ones who matter the most.KaiBanks, Willemmy and Damon I'll always love guys 🩶

Best of the series
This small novella was amazing and the small excerpt from Maddens POV was amazing. I would love to know if there would be a book for Madden and Tavi.

AMAZING!
This was everything. It gives insight into the younger generation and also shows rare sides to our Horsemen and their women. I know the Kindle version doesn't have any of the fancy pages the paperback will have but the aesthetic the book makes me picture are something else 😂. Loved it and honestly it was better than Conclave and that's something because I loved Conclave! Whenever I think it can't get any more better, Pen delivers something like this. If you liked the series then don't hesitate to dive into it! Thank you so much Pen for the early surprise release!

Don't skip this one!
This final Novella really helped me process leaving Thunder Bay, lol. I loved this series so much. All of the characters were so many shades of light and dark, and it felt like a fever dream once over. The first novella was good, but this one was great! There were so many layers to it while also bringing in small pieces of everyone. Revisiting each couple separately amongst the chapters. The first novella was fun, but it didn't lack a lot to the plot but a good spicy scene, and honestly, a huge piece of Rika's story to come. But this story incoming all of their kids, and such developed personalities in the child characters. It was fascinating. The high stress scenario made this a read I never put down once starting. The conclusion left me still reaching, but also, with hopes, we might still see more from this series. I sure hope so. Don't skip this one! It's worth it.

Brilliant
You need to read the series in order to really benefit from this story or this review.Oh wow!! What a great novella. I know Penelope had said the children won’t get their own story, even though Mads is crying out for one, but I’m glad they won’t. I’d rather my imagination did the work for Mads and Octavia and the others. There was always a darkness in Kai, so we were told in his story, but I never really felt we saw it. Well, we can see it in this story, personified in his son Mads! That 11 year old scares me!!!!!

5 Stars for the Devil's Night gang coming together again
This novella was a wonderful surprise. I'll never say no to another book from Thunder Bay.The Four Horsemen and their families are together for the holidays, and of course, trouble seems to find a way to party with them. I enjoyed getting the POV of different characters because Douglas does it so well - you're never confused as to who is speaking because each character's mind is so distinct. We get to see the Michael, Kai, Damon, and Will interact with each other, their ladies, and their children. We're witness to how strong their bond as a family is and I seriously can not get enough. I can't even blame Pen for stirring the pot by causing intrigue around probably the most interesting character in the entire Devil's Night world. Who knows... down the road, this character will speak to Pen so much she'll have no choice but to write his book.Highly, highly recommend Fire Night. It keeps the flame for the Devil's Night fam burning.
