Romans (Baker Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament)

É uma pena que Thomas R. Schreiner seja um autor pouquíssimo conhecido no Brasil, pois ele é um dos maiores eruditos ainda vivos. Seu comentário de Romanos de alto nível. Recomendo para todos e torço para que mais obras dele sejam traduzidas.

The author obviously has a depth of knowledge of the scriptures which I find beneficial despite my lack of seminary training. Several views of interpretation are given for more challenging sections. I enjoy reading the Greek translations presented. Overall, I find it readable, being a layman, it's my favorite Romans commentary because the author offers his personal remarks, including his own questions, with a great deal of explanation.

Shreiner's writings are easy to grasp and profound. Among the BNTC series, this is one of the best. I have a few other books written by Shreiner, but this volume has contributed the most. Following the reformed tradition, his egegesis/exposition is just mind-blowing!!

One the best commentary there is on the Romains Epistle. Schreiner delivers a thorough study of one of the most important paulinian letter.
