DESERVES A STANDING OVATION!
The book deserves to be read and snaps viewed by all Lata fans, I tell you with the authority of an Indori. Our ancestral house happens to be in Sikh Moholla, Indore, a few steps from the place 'Didi' was born. Under what circumstances, no residents knew...From the book I gather that Mai's sister stayed there, and as a maherwasini on delivery, she was there for the first delivery. Amazingly, her sister's grand-daughter still stays in Indore, and she told us about the book also. Their's is one of the most cultured, decent and sensitive families we ever met. The book is most sensitively written by Nasreen...I and other readers of our family least care whether it is a biography or not- it's certainly most informative and endearing- just watch the quality of pictures and the heart to heart talk!
