Defenatly worth the money

Update- Now that we have had this set for a while, I feel it is justified to knock off another star from my previous review. I bought the Hape railway diesel freight train and specifically asked the manufacturer about whether it would fit through the tunnel and I was told that it would. However the orange cars on the new train are a bit bigger than the cars on the train that came with the set and it is even more challenging getting it through the tunnel so much so that I don't think this new train will be able to be used with the set. It is just too frustrating. I am now reluctant to buy additional trains to expand this set. If I had purchased another brand train then I would understand if it didn't work with this train set but when you buy an accessory from the same manufacturer, it certainly should be compatible.Let me start off by saying that my grandson absolutely loves this train set which makes me very happy and that alone kept me from deducting two stars instead of one for this review. However with a little bit more effort in the design of this set, it could have been much better. The trains get stuck in the tunnel at times and that probably could have been prevented by just making the tunnel a tad bit taller and wider. It would have alleviated some frustration for children on the lower part of the age range for this toy. Also we have a problem with the connection of the tracks on each side of the bridge. Perhaps we have a defective bridge but there is very little support for the tracks on each side of the bridge and the tracks come apart in these areas. We had to support these areas with blocks to keep them from collapsing. My grandson absolutely loves the trains, passengers, crane and other accessories that were included in this set. This train set has a lot to offer but it is a bit disappointing that it has some flaws that make me feel like I didn't really get my money's worth.

I researched and looked around because we had purchased a set before from another brand and it was awful! This set is exactly what we were looking for! The tracks that are elevated snap/clip into the support system that is all included and prevents the tracks from getting knocked down during play. Saves us from a lot of meltdowns and rebuilding! The trains easily glide around the tracks without coming out or off the grooves. The bests part is all the operation is toddler friendly. The crane doesn’t have a twist style knob it’s a tip and push style which is super easy for my 3.5yo to operate all on his own! He’s able to open up the passenger train and put the people in and out. He loves the push button traffic light turning it from red to green. Totally Frustration free! Easy assembly! I set it upwithin 5 minutes! And it’s just the right size—not too overwhelming! It fits perfectly on our pottery barn kids play table but still has everything you need: a tunnel, a bridge, a crane, a passenger station, a passenger train, a cargo train and a dump truck!! And includes some people that fit into the passenger train! Also, we ordered this during the shutdown for the pandemic and it still arrived within 3 days and a day earlier than it quoted us on the order. 5 stars all around!!!

This was well made but the trains and vehicles that go on the tracks don’t all fit very well. So they derail really easily. Works better on a hard surface and not carpet. Overall it was just okay.

We were very excited to receive this set, but after a close examination & before letting the kids see it, we decided to send it back.1. The magnets on the train cars are so weak they barely hold together, which is surprising because other Hape trains we have, possess very strong magnets.2. The crane part was not secured in the box and obviously had been tossed around during shipping; it already had many gouges/nicks and some paint rubbing off. This is wear I expect to see after the kids have played with the trains for some time, but not right out of the box.3. Lastly, the orange box car, which sits behind the green 'recycling' box car, has such a poor paint job, you can't even tell what is painted on the side. On the box it appears to be 2 different colored orange paints used, but on ours, the box car is painted nearly the same color as the details; no contrast at all. It looks nothing like the car pictured on the box; I can only assume the wrong color paint was used to paint the details, which is a shame, because paired with the green 'recycling' car, it makes a cute pair. Not so much when you can't see anything painted onto the side.For the price, quality was a bit lacking, so sadly we sent it back. We like our other Hape tain sets/pieces, so hopefully they improve this in the future.

First of all, this set is very cute. I really appreciate the little details like the traffic gates, movable hands on clocks, ability to put little people in the passenger cars, etc. My son really likes the set. The reason I only give it three stars is because, as cute as it is, the main purpose of a train is to drive the train on the tracks. And with this set it is a struggle to keep the train on the tracks. The track itself fits together quite loosely, which makes it easy to put together but unfortunately makes for gaps and cracks that the train has a hard time going over. The cars themselves don't line up that well when they are attached and the passenger train, in particular, has trouble with making turns and often gets caught up in the tunnel. Also, the connection by the bridge is faulty and often comes unattached with just a little shift in the track. That has all been very frustrating for my 2 year old. In summary, very cute set with neat details but doesn't really excel when it comes to the main purpose of driving the train on the tracks!

A perfect present for my 3 year old godson, who loves trains. Plenty of moving parts to operate...

J'ai commandé ce circuit de train en bois pour l'anniversaire de mon fils qui vient d'avoir 4 ans. Il est assez onéreux mais ça vaut vraiment le coup! L'ensemble est vraiment de qualité et résistant. J'avais un peu peur que les parties surélevées du circuit ne tiennent pas bien mais ce n'est pas du tout le cas. C'est très bien fait et très solide. Les aimants qui permettent aux wagons d'être attachés entre eux sont très puissants. Il y a beaucoup de zones de jeux intéressantes: l'activité de la gare, la gestion du passage à niveau, le chargement et déchargement des marchandises. Les petits plus que j'ai bien aimé: L'horloge de la gare où l'enfant peut régler l'heure lui même et le feu de signalisation qui se change avec un bouton poussoir. Je compte bien, plus tard, compléter le circuit avec:- la gare de triage (Hape - E3704 - Circuit de Train en Bois - Gare de Triage)- la cloche de signalement ( Hape - E3706 - Circuit de Train en Bois - Cloche de Signalement)- le pont-levis ( Hape - E3709 - Circuit de Train en Bois - Pont Levis).Il y a, aussi, des packs d’extension disponibles (Hape - E3707 - Circuit de Train en Bois - Pack d'Extention) (Hape- Circuit de Train en Bois-Ensemble de Rails Spécifiques, E3708)Ce cadeau plaît énormément à mon fils. ottimo set per trenini di legno. offre vari scenari interattivi e divertenti. molti pezzi sono in plastica ma bel complesso è un bel set da cui partire (si può poi espandere con altri set o con semplici binari in legno).bellissimo il trenino passeggeri che si apre e ospita gli omini, però attenzione: sono piccolissimi! e i loro accessori davvero minuscoli!!! sconsiglio di fornire omini e accessori prima dei 5 anni, ed è un vero peccato, ma ci si può ingegnare ad inserire nel trenino dei pupazzetti più sicuri, e allora questo set diventa perfetto dai 2 anni in su.

È un peccato che Amazon EU SRL venda un prodotto così incompleto e difettoso. Ho comprato questo treno di legno nel luglio 21 per mio nipote e ora volevo montarlo su una tavola perché mio nipote ha raggiunto l'età per giocare. Nota1. il numero di binari non è corretto nel formato e nella dimensione della curva.2. il piano allegato è sbagliato. Se guardate bene la foto lo vedrete.3. la profondità dei binari è troppo corta, i treni deragliano di continuo.4. le ruote sono molto allentate.Sono un ottimo cliente di Amazon e sono davvero deluso perché non c'è nessun collegamento con Amazon EU SRL per lamentarsi direttamente.
