Safari by Coastal Styptic Powder to Quickly Stop Minor Bleeding From Nicks Or Scrapes On Dogs Or Cats

Large bulldog terrier breed, so large quicks. I nipped one just today and felt so horrible! But she seemed to stop panicking when I put her paw tip in a mini tupperware of this powder and spoke really sweet but calm and slow to her, and she calmed down very well. I was actually able to keep going on other paws by doing a high-value treat after like every two clips! I kept saying the word for the high-value treats, "cookie! you get a cookie!" and she stopped worrying enough for me to get a few more clips in. And eventually she rolled onto her back and let me do the rest. Didn't even limp after when she walked around. So it stopped the bleeding very fast, she calmed down with it, and it just plain works. I'm usually pretty good, but sometimes the best of us nip a nail when they flinch, ya know? I've used this one maybe three times now, and I pour enough into a mini tupperware cup each time to keep the rest clean, so getting another bottle now just to be sure I have more on hand next time.

I haven’t used it as of yet , and honest hope I don’t have to but I bought for my rabbits first aid kit as I’m always worried when I cut his nails as his nails are black and I cannot see where his quick is . Always good to have on hand no matter what kind of pet you have .

I bought this for emergency purposes along with nail clippers to clip my 12 year old pitbull's nails. She has really long kwiks so she bleeds even if you only take off a very small amount. Just like I knew would happen, I took the little sharp point off the tip of one of her nails and she sprang a leak! Blood everywhere, I felt AWFUL, but I had this on hand in a little bowl, packed in onto the nail, and it stopped immediately. Thankfully she didn't act like it hurt her AT ALL and this stuff SAVED me from cleaning up a ton of blood :)

Have on hand when trimming dog's toenails. Pour a little into the cap and dip his toe in if needed. Works great!
