As many have stated this does not come with directions. In the end I printed off the ones on the description here and have saved those with it. It does work great once you figure it out. After my 2nd time using it the drying inserts (thick, hard pieces that absorb the moisture) needed to be dried out. I had read that you could microwave them but many said it didn't work so since I had the oven on I put them in the oven (on a cooling rack set on a cookie sheet so air could circulate) at 200 degrees (F) and checked every 10 minutes. This worked great and will be how I dry them next time. I also could find no mention on how long to leave things in the press. The 1st batch I left for a week and the 2nd I took out after 5 days (I needed them for a project). They seemed equally dry to the touch. Overall I'm happy with this item but as a gift it is lacking and I wouldn't give it to anyone under 12.

first attempt using a this press the flowers pressed relatively well however the drying plates didnt seem to soak up all the moisture and thinner petals such as poppies I had to dry out longer out of the press or they stuck and ripped. The plates don't seem to dry out in the microwave or sun making them completely useless to use again

I really love the quality and number of materials that come in the kit, but I'm a newbie to flower pressing and the product came with no instructions. Are there instructions online or were they missing in the package?

The press is nice. Wish it was bigger but it is adequate and easy to use.

It has instructions in the description. There are also countless YouTube videos on how to press flowers. This kit does not have instructions in the box but it does on the listing here. Drying plates absorb moisture and if left out in the sun will absorb any humidity in the air. To dry the plates place a paper towel under a single drying plate in the microwave. The paper towel will absorb the moisture. I did 2 plates at one minute in the microwave and dried again on a new towel. I store the drying plates in a sealed paper bag after I have removed the moisture. I was very happy with my pressed flowers.
