I am reviewing the Watercolour set.I did not know what to expect with these watercolour pencils. I am aware Staedtler knows how to make great quality watercolour pencils. I Iove both their Ergosoft Aquarells, and their Karat Aquarells (one of my favourites to use), but I did not know where these Design Journey pencils fit in with their range of products.Having swatched out the 12 piece set included here, and using them already in an art piece, I find these to be great pencils. The pencils are rich in pigment, and beautiful overall colours that activate great with water, and the colours both wet AND dry are pretty fantastic. The results using these pencils in their dry form is important to me because I do a lot of watercolour pieces where I utilize the pencils in their dry form, and I discovered not all watercolour pencils behave properly when used dry. For instance, the Derwent watercolour pencils in the professional series, are the worst when used dry (very patchy, unable to layer, lots of crumbling), but these Staedtler pencils offer a smooth laydown with no crumbling at all, and the colours remain vivid. These also sharpen well and hold their point. The pigments blend beautifully when water is applied, and having compared them to the Ergosoft watercolour pencils, I find these to be a bit more pigmented, while the Ergosoft are a bit smoother; overall, the colours are very similar in quality.These are definitely not budget watercolour pencils, and you do get what you pay for. Also included in the kit are 3 Mars Lumograph Aquarell pencils (4B, 6B, 8B) which are an excellent medium on their own, a good quality water-brush, a pencil sharpener, and an art eraser. So pretty much everything you need to get started and for those artists that love En Plein Air painting.Overall, a fantastic set. I wish it would come with more colours though, as the performance of these Design Journey watercolour pencils impressed me, and left me wanting for more. Recommended.

La selección de colores es apropiada. El pincel es muy útil y práctico. La calidad es buena (buen nivel de pigmentación). Llegó a tiempo. Apropiado para todas las edades.

Da ich mit dem Zeichnen neu gestartet habe, brauchte ich erstmal eine Grundausstattung. Diese hat alles, was ich brauchte und ist von der Qualität prima. Und der Preis ist auch OK.
