Q: How deep is the bowl where the birds will be bathing?

Hello - I purchased this bird bath last year in the summer of 2013 & it held up well. The bowl is about 6-7" deep and has plenty of room for them to bath. They used it a lot. It is easy to wash out with the hose sprayer and lightweight to handle. I brought it in inside to the garage in October when the weather turned cold here in Indiana as this material will not hold up in winter weather - may crack. But the birds did like it!

Q: what is the bird bath made of

I think it is a heavy duty resin. It is very pretty, easy to clean, and withstood the very cold winter we had. I like mine very much, and will probably buy another one, if something happens to this one.

Q: I live in Tampa-so, no frozen concerns. it gets full of algae so quick. please advise?

California also produces algae. Found Lysol All Purpose Cleaner then a stiff brush takes care of the problem. Be sure to rinse well. The light-weight bird bath when empty is easy to carry to a nearby water source. The birds return immediately. ps. I use lemon breeze.
