I bought a lightsabre for my son last year, it was more adult size and bigger than this one, in fairness it cost twice as much and lasted about a month before it stopped working. For less than what I paid for that I got two of these with the connector and to be fair it's much more suited and reasonably sturdy. My only issue with the ad is how they are shown as being much larger than they really are. Do yourself a favour and make sure that you get a tape measure out and see what you're getting for your money. The handle is metal and pretty sturdy/durable and the blade is a reasonable size but just over two and bit the size of the handle. Two of them joined together looks pretty impressive though.

My nephew wanted a lightsaber just like mine. Except he's nine and my lightsaber's an Ultrasaber duelling blade, took me forty years to get a lightsaber and he might change his mind in ten minutes, so I didn't want to spend a fortune on it. Thought to take a chance on this one, what's the worst that could happen...The worst that could happen is I might want one of these for myself...Metal hilt, shortened blade ideal for kids, it has a thick plastic blade, which isn't to the same quality as a heavy duelling blade from most of the companies that do lightsabers, but lets not forget here.Most lightsaber blades cost more than you'd pay for two of these...Ignition noise is spot on, base hum is from episode 4, it does have flash on clash, noises are accurate, and power down noise is spot on. There's a slight delay in the movement noise, sometimes you've got to move it a little more to get the noise, but lets not forget here.Most lightsaber sound chips cost more than you'd pay for four of these...It's an excellent quality product, cycles through seven colours at the touch of a button, it'd be fine for light duelling, but I wouldn't recommend going full tilt at it, but then that's the same of any lightsaber I've ever had, up to and including the more expensive ones I've got, they're not going to take the punishment that a metal or wood blade would, and they shouldn't be used as such. If you want your kids to be able to whack things as hard as they like, enrol them in a HEMA or Kendo class, these things are toys, sturdy toys, but toys nonetheless.In summation, these are superb for kids, little bit of assembly required, packaging does say it's a lightsaber, but if you're giving it as a present, you're probably wrapping it up, so that's not really a worry is it? It comes with all the tools you need and has usb charging cables with each.Well recommended.

So item came within a mo th despite a long expected date.Item is as pictured.Nice weight to it and easy to assemble. Has different colour sabers and makes noise turning it off and on, no motion noises but it does make noise when it collides with something (i.e. hitting it against something)Seems nice and sturdy aswell.Over all very happy with the item the only reason for 4 stars is due to the packaging.... it was a present but comes in just the lightsaber box with a giant picture on it of a lightaber so the person knew what it was before i even got home.No extra padding was added to ensure safty of the item but thankfully arrived undamaged. Over all definitely worth the price

This took a few weeks to arrive, but the handle is sturdy metal, and the light 'tube' is also of a good thickness and not flimsy; also like the fact that you can recharge it via the USB cable supplied, and not have to use batteries. We had one issue, which admittedly was fairly major - when it came to recharge it for the first time (which was actually after weeks of playing, the charge lasted an incredibly long time), it didn't work. However, I contacted the seller, who not only got straight back to me (with the hour!), and despite the time elapsed between purchase and identifying the problem, they apologised for the faulty unit and immediately sent out a replacement. Quality is great, and we've had no problems recharging the replacement unit - my son loves it!

It’s a nice light sabre.It arrived in two part so a little bit of self assembly required and then you have to put the leatherette on the handle, which is the same as putting a new covering on a squash raquet.The sabre charged quickly and changes colour at the press of the button. When using the sabre and it collides with an object the colour flashes white and then back to your chosen colour.I gave it 4 stars only because the sound effects are often later than the collision, that could be improved, other than that it’s better than I expected

I have to admit to being quite jealous when my star wars obsessed 7 year old first took this out of the package. I own a dad toy, a force FX replica, ok so the metal handle isn't as detailed but it works in an identical, if not better way. Great that it changes colour to match his jedi mood, sound effects great - I highly recommend this light saber!

Not a bad lightsaber, but the sounds aren't the best on it and after the initial turn on it is the same repetive sound put on a loop untill you turn it off. Good battery life and I've had mine for roughly a month and haven't had to charge it too much. Changing the colour is easy but you can only turn on the saber in red, then swap to other colours by pressing the 'on' button. Good saber for duelling and very easy to graph a spray can and give it a custom paint job. Great value for money and really good beginner saber.
