What I like: this rod is lightweight, has the right stiffness for chucking larger lures and pulling baits through heavy cover without feeling like a 2x4, and casts well. Performance overall is good.What I don't like:It doesn't have a hook keeper.The palm swell is a lot smaller than other rods I've had. If you look closely, the cork blank for the palm swell is the same as on the fighting butt, turned upside down. An obvious cost-cutting measure. In fairness, I don't really seem to notice when I'm fishing it.The rod I got isn't completely straight. There is a slight but noticeable bend to one side in the rod blank about six inches from the end that causes the rod tip to be slightly out of alignment with the rest of the rod. I haven't noticed any performance problems caused by it.It has a spigot ferrule, which means that where the two pieces fit together, the part that slides into the ferrule leaves about an inch of unlaquered rod blank exposed when properly fitted together. The directions tell you not to try to force this extra bit in because it can damage the rod, but there is no sort of visual indicator as to how far into the rod you should push it, so I just pushed it in until it got tight. They say this is part of the design and helps with the rod action somehow.I took one star off for no hook keeper and the cheap grip, and one for the quality control issue of the bent blank and weird joining system. Otherwise, this rod could be a five.

The product overview is good. Haven't used the pole yet. Delivery was later than expected, and it was a gift and it was missing the cap to the end of the tube, and the pole fell right out of the holder. Was not happy about that. Because i wanted to store my pole back in the casing and now i can not

Great value for the money. Good sensitivity for bass fishing. Braided line included works great too. So the handle was a little loose on the reel & I contacted the supplier. They sent a replacement within a couple days. Excellent customer service👍👍

bought for my son for his birthday. he loves it. said he can cast farther than any other pole he's used. also gets lots of attention and comments for the cool factor of the iridescent reel.

Really a nice rod and it seems well balanced. Haven't got to use it though, I've been painting the boat. Just got it done. So, LOOKOUT FISH !!
