I lost the AC adapters for my Sony CDMavica and Hi-8 Camcorder (both of them used the same model AC adapter!) and I needed one to "bench power" my camcorder. Per the Amazon page, this unit supposedly Fit The Bill, so I ordered it. When it arrived, I checked out its' voltage output (8.4VDC), plugged it into each "camera", and both "cameras" Operated Just Fine!Yes, ** I DO RECOMMEND ** this product!

Sony wanted 6 times the price and I could not justify it on an old Sony Mavica. I got the camera for free, so this made it worthwhile. I was happy to receive a European 220 volt adapter plug with it. Works well, the supplier shipped fast. Sorry this review took so long, but I do not review items until I have really tested them for a while.
