My old frostproof you had to turn ALL day. Like 8 turns. This one. Bam ! Instant on. Worth every penny. Easy install to old 1/2 inch female (sweat copper x thread) adapter with teflon tape. Very pleased. Will retrofit my 2 other hose bibs. Oh, one more thing: MAKE SURE to pitch it so the thing drains to the outside when turned off or else water will gather on the inside and freeze. Beware ! Good Luck !

Prier 14-inch long freeze-proof wall hydrant or faucet.
So far so good. This is a freeze-proof wall hydrant that is 14 inches long. Installed without any issue. Has not been tested in freezing temperatures yet. Valve is smooth and holds without leaking at this point in time. Flows well when open. Only issue is UPS left my package with this in it sitting by my mailbox at the bottom of my driveway rather than driving up my long driveway and putting it on my porch.

Better quality than the big box stores
Local stores didn't carry this item so I purchased a different make and model from Menards, lasted two years. This one is like butter when you turn it on.

Leaky anti-siphon valve solved
I did not purchase from amazon, but I thought I’d review it as I had some problems with this valve brand-new. Normal operation was great no leaks, but the anti-siphon valve leak like crazy right from the start. Tried cleaning it with no success. Noticed the small rubber washer that makes the seal kept getting off-center, which did not seal when the valve was opened and pressurized with a hose attached. I took the anti-siphon valve apart using a very thin small flat screwdriver and replaced the original seal which was about 1/16” thick with the same diameter but thicker, about 1/8” to 3/16” thick. The new thicker seal no longer was able to get off-center when pressurized and made a perfect seal. Problem solved. The replacement seal came out of a seal and washer replacement kit that has various sizes for all plumbing repairs, and was purchased at a big box store.
