I found April Greens work on Instagram a while back and fell in love.I have her other two books and didn't hesitate to add this one to my collection. And it does not disappoint. I find her words to be so wise, so insightful actually I liked her work so much I messaged her and we have become friends.Each of her books, is full of dog ears. I'm hopeless, because when I love a poem I want to always come back to it and so it is that her books are full of little turned corners.April Green is a keeper! Buy her books, you wont regret it.

I can't remember the last time that I left a negative review (I usually only review things that I love and want to encourage others to try out). Disclaimer: Art is subjective, so something I don't like- you may enjoy.... I purchased this book after hearing some of the author's used in some vlogs online. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the body of work as a whole. It felt like a very basic, watered down version of a very on trend style of poetry (e.g., Milk and Honey, Salt). I'm probably not the target audience here as it feels like a compilation of instagram captions. As a read the poems and quotes, there was a nagging sense that these pieces were trying desperately to sound deep and insightful, but kept missing the mark.

Love April's new book "Reaching the Sun". I'm taking my time with this read watching my blooms grow into a magnificent garden!!

I came across April Green on Instagram and instantly resonated with her quotes as someone who needs to work on healing, growth and self-worth. All of her poems, quotes and stories are so eloquently and beautifully put. I will definitely be buying the other books at some point! I recommend to anyone who needs to be reminded of how important they are and needs some empowerment to make changes in their life!

I have read, and re-read, all of April Green’s books, but this is by far my favourite. Full of wisdom and lessons on healing, this book is a collection of inspiring poetry and tender quotes. I also love the unique concept of the flowers growing as you turn each page. I know this will be a book I keep coming back to.

I got all the books from this author. I like them all and I'll read them again and again. Beautiful work!
