Sturdy and great size for WFH desk
I’ve been working from home for a year and a half and was in the market for a standing desk. This one is sturdy, not loud when moving up or down, and the size to hold everything I need plus more is great. Recently I was having an issue with it moving up it wouldn’t go past “30.0” however I messaged the seller who was quick to respond with how to reset it and it worked. I had to leave a review after my good experience. I also purchased a cable holder that sits right under my desk just to keep everything neatly organized.

Better than the desk I have at my work office
Covid related WFH and everyone knows the story. I already got a nice chair and my butt and back are much happier but I missed the stand up desk I had at work, so after shopping around, I settled on the Alpha.I got the 48x30 in dark walnut. The size was perfect for me, I wanted a little more depth compared to my old desk (24 inches) but didn't want it to be any wider as it had to fit in the same area. I have two 32 inch monitors using desk mount and this is a perfect fit.Shipping:I've read previous reviews about damaged top during shipping. I think ALFA has definitely upgraded their packaging. The desk top was wrapped in hard 1.5 inch cardboard and another 1.5 inch of foam all around the sides. The corners were reinforced with metal plating. There was almost no way this could get damaged. The mechanical parts and legs were also inside reinforced packaging. Overall, I would rate the packaging as very high quality and provides the most reasonable protection from shipping.Assembly:The instructions were relatively clear and the parts are all letter-coded so no need to fumble around for which part needs to go where. Almost every screw point was pre-drilled with the exception of the control box and the lift controller. However, this allows the user to place the controller in any position they wish. The control box fits exactly in the center so they could have predrilled those holes. The desk is about 110 lbs in total, so get some help if you can't muscle the weight around. The motor-clamp-pin is a slight pain as well. It takes a LOT of force to push the clamp all the way to lock the motor and I put the pin AFTER I clamped it down, which was much easier for me. The instructions have you pin first then clamp down after. All in all, I was satisfied with the ease of assembly. I had a cordless driver to help out and it took about 30 minutes from package to full assembly.Comfort:I am exactly 6 feet tall with slightly longer upper body than lower to give some perspective. At the lowest setting, 28 inches, my arms hang at right angle sitting in my chair height set to exactly allowing my feet to stay flat on the floor. For me, this is the most comfortable sitting position. My old desk was 1.5 inches higher and I always had to raise my chair a bit and leave my feet hanging a bit, or have my arms bent more than 90 degree angle. Both were a little uncomfortable. The fully raised position allows me to stand straight and have my arms almost 90 degree angle. This is my most comfortable standing position. So far, I've only been using the lowest and highest setting throughout the day, not using any of the in-between heights, LOL.Quality:The fit and finish were about what you would expect on a $300 desk. Once the parts are all assembled, the desk does not move at all. The table raises and lowers much faster compared to the one I have from work. The only irritating thing is the thunk sound when initially starting the raising or lowering. Not sure if this is normal or not, but I assume there is some sort of internal brake system. Conclusion:I love this adjustable desk. It is better than the standing desk I have at work in every single way and I know work paid a lot more than I did. The depth of the top allows me to fit more stuff on my desk, the speed of the dual motor is very fast. I've been using this for the past few days WFH and it's one of those things I should've got MUCH sooner instead of waiting so long.

Excellent product for the money. Not an entry level desk.
Excellent product. It seems there are lots and lots of electric standing desks available. Since I intend to keep and use this desk for a long time, I paid particular attentions to the features and details that I wanted (needed :-) .1. I wanted a desk with dual motors. The single motor desks available out there are usually noisier, not as smooth, slower and less weigh capacity. Heck, this dual motor desk has enough capacity to lift me up to reach and clean the ceiling fan!2. Single piece desktop. Many of the desks out there are two pieces desktop joined together, creating a seam in the middle. While this might not be a problem for some, I actually write on my desk (with a pen!) and would not want a seam to mess up my writings.3. 4 programmable height memories.4. Fast, smooth, and quiet.5. Heavy. Yes this desk has some pretty substantial weight. It was more like an actual heavy duty office furniture that could take the daily use then the regular home/personal use desk. Time will tell if this desks actually lasts.6. Quick release legs. This one was a bonus. I really like that the two table legs come apart quickly and easily. Remove the tension connector, unplug the motor, and the legs comes off. It makes moving this heavy desk around the house much easier. Now onto the the not so good.1. It took about 40 minute to assemble this. I'm pretty handy and worked in various fields, including furniture assembly. Taking everything out of the box and preparing the items took about 10 minute already. This could also be because the parts were well packed.2. The shipment came in two packages on different days. I had to be at home to sign for both packages.3. The weight. I guess weight was both a plus and minus. The boxes were very heavy and bulky to move alone. The desktop box was obviously large, bulky, and heavy. The packing on the desktop piece was okay and I could see that it could be damaged easily with a careless delivery person. (recommend double box the desktop shipping packaging)4. This desk needs a cable management system. For the price, I would not expect it. Back onto Amazon for a cable management tray. This could be a color matching problem as the desk legs are a cream color and the cable management trays available are either black or white.5. Laminate desktop. Okay. At this price point, I wasn't expecting much. The maple laminate had almost no wood pattern on it and the laminate edge piece, looked like a edge piece. The manufacture made almost no effort to make it look like a real piece of wood.6. Plastic control panel. This one was for ALL the motorized desks out there. I mounted the plastic control panel on the side and hope that it will last. I could see the arms of the chair hitting and destroying this control panel. (recommend offering a metal drawer to house the control panel)Overall, I am happy with this purchase.
