Perfect!
I got these when I got the tool for these, they work great and as intended. Don’t breathe in the little puff of smoke that comes off them when they heat up though, idk if it’s toxic or not but I always assume so. I used these to patch together a scrap bin at work (heavy duty diesel mechanic) and I’m talking 1,000+ pounds goes into this scrap bin and it’s held up well, better than any of the other mechanics “solutions” and I got an “attaboy” at work for it🤷😂

Works great
They worked as expected with my heat gun. I secured them in plexiglass for a DIY. The little staples were extremely dirty and left my fingers black, but I think all metal does that.

Works pretty well once you get the hang of it
It does what it says. However, I have never used it exclusively when repairing a piece of plastic. I always start by melting the whole crack together with a Weller 200W soldering iron. Then I use this just to insert reinforcement in the most crucial locations where it's likely to break again. But doing that has resulted in some very sturdy repairs. Some things that could be improved:1. It would be nice to have better control over the voltage. The trigger is really just a comfortable on/off switch. It would be much easier to use this if it were a true potentiometer so you could have control over how quickly and how hot the staple becomes. As it is, plan to spend some time practicing your technique, especially for thin plastics like storage bins. Because the first few times, you're going to put the staple right through the plastic and just leave a weird hole behind. That reminds me, I need to text my ex-wife...2. Once you learn you to get these things suspended properly in molten plastic, you're left with two very hard and very sharp pieces of metal sticking out. Here's the problem with that: Your trusty wire cutters won't cut close enough to the surface to not leave a shorter, but no less sharp, piece of wire sticking out. Same goes for the cheap and pointless cutters included in the kit. If you think you're smart by owning a pair of high-precision flush cutters, I'm going to save you $30 right now... These wires will dent the blades on your precision cutters. I've tried with the very best German-made brands and while they do successfully cut these wires, it comes at a great cost. So, how do you deal with these little bastards? I recommend holy water and a long stick. Either that or use a Dremel with a tungsten carbide grinding bit. The stone grinding bits work in a pinch, but these wires will cut grooves in them really quick.3. The case could be a lot better. The weird latches (you'll see) make it very easy to open the thing upside down. If you do and you've stored the staples in the provided slots, all 100,000,000 of them will spill out all over your neighborhood. Having some kind of lid on those slots would be a really nice touch. I'll trade back the wire cutters if I can get lids. As it is, I've managed to find a way to cram some other fully-enclosed little bins in the case with the gun to solve this issue but it's less than ideal. Ziplock bags might be a better choice.Man, this review has gotten long. I think there was something else I wanted to mention but I can't remember anymore and you're not reading anyway.
