Works just fine. However, if you have a week or so you can write to S&W on line and they will ship you a free replacement key.

This broke my .357 magnum internal lock. It fits, it turns, the little flag next to the hammer recedes, but the gun remains locked. The key that originally came with the gun worked fine until I lost it. Looks like this gun is ruined unless I have a gunsmith remove the internal lock entirely, which is too bad because it is convenient to have an internal gun lock in California.

For those of us burdened with the locking devices, these keys are a must. This key works perfectly, and it reasonably priced. My 629 didn't come with keys (was unlocked though) so I needed keys. Buy a couple so you have spares!

As described. Fits in the small Security hole on yhe left side above the cyl thumb release.
