Good but doesn't meet my needs
Would like to have had more detailed phtpos and diagrams, particularly of rigging. I have a slightly damaged model and want to restore it accurately.

Satisfactory but could be improved.
Whilst these sort of facsimile books can never be as good as the original editions of the book, the scanned pages are generally satisfactory as far as the text is concerned although no reimposition of the pages was attempted. Little time, also, was spent on the presentation of the plans and drawings. I know that they could have been greatly improved with just a little effort. The photographs also were poorly scanned and no attempt has been made to improve their presentation either which does make them debatable as to usability. Unfortunately the original books are difficult to come by and so this is a reasonable attempt to make the information contained in them available to the new audience. Its just a shame that another 5% of effort would have added another 90% of usefulness.

good info for modelers
Good information for modelers. Appendix of Drawings of model .Early work and not quite the quality of The Anatomy of the Ship series. For the $$, it might be better to get the actual plans from the Cutty Sark Museum in the UK. For Yanks, though the shipping costs are ridiculous.Appendices are good.and include original specs.
