Ring of Truth by Carla Olson & Mick Taylor

Really a class album with Carla's vocals and guitar andMick Taylor's stunning lead guitar work. The track 'Winter'is the best slow lead guitar work I've ever heard (and I'veheard many), all 12 minutes of it. No idea why she never becamemore popular. If you like rock'n'roll without the brashness thenget yourself a copy. Highly recommended.

Good rocking style music that deserve to be heard. Carla Olson sings with passion. The music rocks. Mick Taylor is often excellent, with some outstanding playing on the title track, as melodious and inspired as he only can do.

Oui: cette carla là a une vraie voix et ceux dont elle s'entoure font l'unanimité...On entend très bien MT sur cet album qui fait d'ailleurs se demander pourquoi cette dame n'est pas plus connue en Europe (vous la connaissez, vous?). Sûr qu'elle et son ex-stone de gratteux mériteraient une audience bien plus internationale. Il y a comme une sensation bizarre de tristesse face à ce -relatif- manque de notoriété e tà ce que ce Cher taylor peut (pouvait?) sortir lorsqu'il était en état.Dommage pour les Stones qui ont en échange recruté un peintre hors pair (voir les dessins executés par Ronnie Wood, peut-être plus à l'aise avec un pinceau qu'avec sa Duesenberg).Ce disque est à recommander chaudement.

I like Carla for many years and her best recordings are together with Mick Taylor. So this one's is just okay.
