Red hot chemistry
Case and Mia has chemistry that’s sizzling and they also have temper, it’s a bumpy journey to a happy ever after so how will they get there? This series can be read as standalone books but for full enjoyment I recommend reading them in order.I love that the characters from previous books is so heavily present in this book, in no way does it take away the focus on the main characters.Good storyline that progresses nicely to a good endingNo unnecessary descriptions of surroundingsDialogues with meanings and that helps the story go forward naturally.Sizzling chemistry and sweet love scenes between Mia and Case without taking over the storyline. The characters is developed in to realistic personalities and I’ve met them in the previous book so they feel familiar. The author has done a great job in creating a world and a family that’ll not based on blood alone.5 stars!

Mia wants Case but he misses his brother
DOMINANCE NEVER DIES Masters and Mercenaries Book 11Lexi BlakeCase and Mia...sigh. He is mourning Theo, his dead twin. Mia is trying to tempt Case, but she's not a redhead, she's a treacherous, lying blonde. Oh, and she has a hundred million dollars. Case is hard; Theo was sunny. When they learned they had brothers, Case was angry. Theo wanted to run through a field of daisies, arms flung wide to welcome them. Then Mia gets a photo of Theo, alive, holding up a bank in South America! Things heat up... including our would-be lovers. Byzantine plot with lots of players. The evil doctor is perfecting her drug that dilates time and erases memories which makes her victims malleable. The Collective wants the huge profits it promises.

No need to read book 10 to keep up with either the romance or action in book 11
I didn't read the last book because I found books 8 and 9 to be less than stellar reads (this author is capable of stellar) and the critical reviews of book 10 expressed a lot of the frustration I had with the prior books so I didn't want to be disappointed with a full book about unimportant secondary characters. Therefore, I was concerned that I would have lost the thread of the underlying plot and that would wreck this read. Thankfully, that didn't happen, as the author put in enough of the back story for Case and Mia so I wasn't lost as to how their relationship formed. So, if you didn't read book 10, don't be afraid to pick this one up.It was hard not to like Case, but since Case, Theo and to some degree Ian were all the same character, it was hard to call him original. His journey toward greater self awareness and creating personal change was actually very nice to see. I didn't love Mia - the intrepid, fearless reporter with vast contacts into the underground was hard to believe. I was picturing Christianne Ammanpour, but Mia lacked the gravitas to be someone like her. She also continually overestimated her skills at stealth and self-defense and left herself vulnerable, never seeming to learn. Their relationship was unsatisfying as well - they barely spent anytime together, despite the fact they had know each for some time, and most of the time they were together was spent misunderstanding each other - yet they were getting married. I really felt like they needed to spend some time sharing happiness before they could make such a big life decision. The underlying plot advanced admirably and there were enough loose ends to make me want the next book now, especially since the author has Theo dangling out there waiting for the rest of his story to be told. I'm not sure if I'll read Ruthless - it's currently listed for $7.99. This book wasn't worth $7.99, even with Theo in it, so I struggle with believing that Case and Mia can carry book that costs almost twice as much. I will sit back and wait for the reviews before I start that series.

"Letting Your Guard Down Long Enough to Trust"
I was definitely in need of a suspenseful Taggert/McKay mission, and Lexi Blake more than delivered. The Taggerts had been set back a serious blow when Theo was killed. The whole group, though suffering, didn't waste time finding leeds on his murderer.Case, the twin of Theo, was willing to do everything it took to find his brother who may possibly be alive; even if he had to talk to Mia again. Mia, the woman he thought could be all his until he found out she was lying to him about everything.Mia so badly wanted another chance with Case to show him there was more to her than her family name. She had received a huge tip that would allow Case a chance to possibly save his brother without the rest of the Taggert/McKay group, and a way for her to get back into his good graces again. Case, finally agreed to go on the mission but it had to be his way. Mia wasn't going to let him be completely in charge because she knew he would leave her out of everything. Case's plan to send her back home and out of harms way would totally ruin Mia' s chances of getting up close and under Case again.Unfortunately, Case wasn't able to run the mission without the Taggert/McKay family backing him up, and everything went wrong. Team members were taken, he was faced with choices that could cause him to lose a woman who may be his forever, and his twin brother didn't know him any more. One thing he knew was getting the people back who meant the most to him was not an option. It was a responsibility that he could not see fail if he ever planned on having a future with those he loved.Read this story especially if you have read the others in this series. Either way this book will have you excited, mad, wanting to pull your hear out, and hot and frustrated all at the same time!! I loved the whole experience while reading it. Thank you Lexi!!

This book blew me away!
The story of Case and Mia.D/s romance at its best. The storyline is full of emotion, from humour to tears in minutes and right back to humour. You can't expect anything else when the Taggart's are involved. There is plenty of action, the deepening storyline of the Collective and betrayal around every corner. The sex scenes are well written and proportionate and the author has produced a blindingly good read! The last chapter brings in the setting for the next book and it was one of the best chapters I have ever read.As usual with MT stories we see cameos from previous books and they are as heart warming as ever.

Another Great Book in the Masters and Mercenaries World
Just when I thought this series from Lexi Blake couldn't get any better, it did. I loved this book and reading it was a battle between wanting to get to the end to find out the twists and turns which I was sure would be there and not wanting to get to the end because then I would have to wait until August for the next book from Lexi. A wide range of characters from the series were included in the story which flowed well and which gave me further insights into those people. I have really enjoyed the whole series and would recommend them, including this book, to readers who enjoy a story about ex-military alpha males and the women who they fall for, women who are strong in their own right along with adventure and suspense. The book can be read as a standalone but as many of the characters already have had their own books it would enhance understanding by reading the series in order. Lexi Blake tells a great story which had me on the edge of my seat, unable to put my kindle down. I am looking forward to the next book in this series in October and the start of the Lawless series in August which focuses on characters brought into this book as well as a Taggart. A Great Read.

The best so far
This is a fantastic novel which is crammed with suspense and excitement. I think it is the novel I have enjoyed most. It is a gripping story of Case and Mia in which Case, who is mourning the death of his twin brother, does his best to resist Mia but she is very persistent. In the end the chemistry between them draws them together and love wins. This has a very intricate story line and every page seems to introduce new problems. I love the story and no doubt will re read it in the future.

Absolutely Cracking.
This must be the best of the series. Loved it! Not one to miss. I've been following this author for some years, as she never fails to deliver any book that hasn't got the right amount of heat. Excitement. Story. Characters. My advice is buy the whole series. You won't be disappointed at all. Meet the family and the women who conquer their mens hearts. They are the modern day fairy tale's for adults. Ordinary men and women who come together to make exceptional teams.

Gripping, hot and action packed!
Another brilliant story from Lexi Blake and I love this series. There were sparks, misunderstandings and real chemistry between Case and Mia as they tried to get over what they saw as being betrayed by each other with what happened in the previous book. Then I'm wondering who can be trusted with a surprise twist that sets up more intrigue about the Collective. I read this in one sitting as I couldn't wait to find out what was going on with Theo, and now I can't wait for the next in this series.

Great Read
Another very late night early morning scenario, I love this author, just wish I had the strength to stop reading very late into the night, when I have to get up early the next day lol. What I can say is if you want a really good read, with great characters please read this series. The downside is that now I have to wait so long for the next one.
