Q: Does the poster backing allow light to come through , so the frame can be attached to a box and backlit?

The 'translucent' backing is a horrible light diffuser for LED backlighting. Just dealt with their customer service and was told it wasn't designed for this purpose. Had to come up with my own solution.

Q: Why is this do expensive

They are high quality and they flip open so you can replace one framed picture with another without removing the frame from the wall.

Q: It says Movie Poster Frames, as in plural. Is it just one frame for 70$?

I just order and it was three frames for $70. I was shocked because I thought it was one frame also.

Q: Will this frame hold a thin mirror?

SnapeZo frames must not be used for glass, as it will break and be very dangerous. If the mirror is on plastic or acrylic and below 1/10 thick then yes, it would work.
