An important and imaginative work
I am so very, very glad I read this book. It’s spectacular. I don’t think it will be everyone’s cup of tea. Yet, I think it should be. It provides thoughtful reflections by on the ground theologians in the UK. They write from the parish. They write with insight and fearlessness (as well as fear) about trying things in new ways, looking at the mission of the church from the perspective of “the outside, in.” It is beautifully done. The closing conversation in the wake of the pandemic is wonderful and sums up the whole thing in brilliant and terrific ways.

A truly magnificent read!
A truly magnificent read. Inspiring, challenging (be warned it really is challenging both to the individual and to the corporate), loving, imaginative, thought-provoking and sincere in the authors desire to lead you on a journey that may be disruptive, but aims to provide an alternative way of living and being church in which communities thrive. I read this because there is a feeling deep inside that says ‘how do I reach the others’ ‘how do I join those in the edge of my community, my faith’. I can honestly say I have been challenged, I have read familiar stories from the Bible and seen them in a completely different light and that in turn has made me want to ‘be interrupted’ I highly recommend this book to anyone who also wants to ‘be interrupted’
