DOWRY Tabletop LED Lighted 5X Magnifying Makeup Mirror Square with Plug 8 Inch Polished Gold Finished

I wasn't sure about this product after reading a few reviews that said it was "cheaply made." But I purchased it anyway because I wanted the whole mirror at 5X magnification to use for my makeup application. I have found 10x to be too strong. I wanted a lighted square or rectangular mirror as the lights on the round ones cause problems for me. The round mirrors are smaller and the lights shine right into my eyes - no good for putting on makeup! This mirror met all my requirements. I find it to be very sturdy and of good quality. It is elegant looking and I like the square shape. I could travel with it but it's not really made for that purpose as it is made to plug into an electric outlet. It does come with a small round suction-on 10X mirror, but I personally have no use for that so I don't use it. The slightly curved style of the mirror makes it easier to focus while keeping the lights from shining directly into my eyes. Anyone wanting a 5X, full-face, lighted makeup mirror that will sit on a makeup table and plug into an outlet will be very happy with this product. If you don't want it to sit out all the time, it is small enough to easily put away. I have a dedicated makeup table so mine sits out all the time and looks lovely.

I’ve ordered 6 different mirrors until finally finding this one. This is why it is superior: the 5x magnification is superior to 10X which is too much and allows you to see only a snippet of your face and also tends to distort. 1x, 2x and 3X are insufficient.The square inches of this mirror are generous. It looks glamorous! I got gold but I’m sure the other colors are lovely. I love that it just simply plugs in! No batteries to deal with or a USB cord set up to worry about. As far as lighting goes this is relatively bright but not TOO bright. People don’t realize that too bright is a negative! Too much light makes it hard to see yourself! It’s too shocking! You need a decent amount of light but just enough- not fireworks! There is a simple on /off switch on the side. No this mirror doesn’t fold simply for travel but my solution for that is to get the trifold mirrors for sale on Amazon and keep one of them for travel. There are a few different brands and they are my second choice for mirrors that I tried. They fold for travel, cost only around $20-$25 but they give only 1x and then on very small screens on the fold outs - 2x and 3X magnification making them fine for travel but not my first choice for home/everyday use. They are good looking as well. I think De Wiesen is one brand but there are others. That’s all . I Hope my review is helpful. It was a pain to keep returning mirrors but this mirror was so worth finally finding! It’s a joy putting makeup on! And the light always works!

I purchased in August of 2022. I loved the features and size of the mirror, but for the price, the LED lights should last much longer than they have. I would like to know how to repair it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I purchase a lighted mirror from somewhere else.

The mirror itself is great. However, it's top and front heavy. Even on perfectly level surfaces, it wants to tip over. The good news is that it's fallen to the floor many times, and it still works! But I need a much more stable mirror. Too bad.

The light is bright and good magnification.Looks pretty in my bathroom matching the hardware lights and faucet.

Gorgeous mirror but the metal gets ugly smudge marks. I use a hand towel to polish.

Just took it out of the box and the base was shaky. I checked the bottom of the base and saw that it was stained or soiled.I was expecting a sturdy, clean, high-end mirror.
