WE ALL LOVE AN UNDERDOG’S STORY!
I initially watched this movie on a flight home from LA overnight. I was getting sleepy and thought of putting on a new movie I would generally not watch. As I started watching, it started to captivate me more and more. Eventually, I was the only one awake on the flight and had tears in my eyes.I was rooting for him the whole movie and the storyline wasn’t too obvious. It shocked me when I was least expecting it and reminded me that every step in the journey is what brings us to the destination. Loved it so much that I came home and purchased it and watched it again with my family! 😍🎿

A Superb Family Movie
What a great film. A touching, uplifting, spirited and inspirational story to celebrate the importance of achievement against all odds. The action and emotion race along against the background of music composed, I believe, by Gary Barlow. Taron Egerton, in the role of Eddie Edwards, the wannabe Olympian ski-jumper in the 1988 Calgary Games, is marvellous in this true story. shining in the scenes of his continued determination that require both pathos and comedy. He is more than ably matched by Hugh Jackman's magnificent portrayal of Bronson Peary, his coach, who is reluctant at first, but captures Eddie's spirit to try and achieve the impossible. Both men carry you through this journey with masterly performances. Their final scene is highly emotional as it shows the love developed during all their efforts and it breaks into a real celebration. The film is helped by a wonderful support cast - especially Tim McInnery as the Head of The Olympic Committee, the bullying villain of the piece. This is a must see movie. Just relax, enjoy, laugh and cry.
