Description eludes that this product is Japanese manufactured product. Back side of box clearly indicates Chinese made! This makes these scissors overpriced. Second note: Not clear description of difference of Japanese STYLE vs. American STYLE. I had purchased Japanese STYLE scissors only to learn that finger holes are much too small. American STYLE indicates larger finger entrances to accommodate for American finger sizes. Did not even use the scissors, and sent them back. All that being said, Amazon made return extremely efficient with no issues so far. Thanks, Amazon, for backing your merchandise!

These were a gift for my daughter who is a hairdresser in Texas. She loves them! She says they arrived sharp and ready to use. Says they are holding an edge beautifully, and is planning on purchasing several more pair in different sizes.

You've used scissors your entire life. But you've likely never used scissors like THESE before. As someone with an engineering background, I'm amazed by the near frictionless movement of these scissors. The profile of the blade is that of a high quality dagger. A wickedly strong spine with a steep taper into a wickedly sharp edge. Seriously, you could disassemble these and strop them a few times and use them as a straight razor to give a shave. Yes. The edge grind on these is THAT fine. The edge grind geometry is perfect and symmetrical. Very even and professionally ground.The bearing spindle is the icing on the cake with these. So smooth. I will tell you that a large portion of the effort you expend with your hand while using scissors is overcoming the friction of the scissor itself. These are so smooth and near frictionless, that it should save a LOT of hand effort, especially if you use them for extended periods. And you don't need to hunt a screwdriver to adjust the pressure, a simple turn with your fingers the adjustment knob is all that's required.They come with finger inserts, so ladies with smaller fingers should find these a good fit, and you can of course remove the inserts if that fits your fingers better like it does mine.The chrome work and polish on these is museum quality. You don't have to use them. Feel free to polish and display them.They come in a nice presentation box, and to tell you the truth, my original intent was to toss the boxes in the trash and put these in the drawer with my other hair cutting supplies. Right? They're scissors. You toss em in a drawer. But, ah, I don't think I'm going to toss THESE in the drawer. I think I'm going to put them carefully in the case, and toss the CASE in the drawer. Dropping these or scratching them will be gut wrenching, though I know eventually they will lose their showroom luster. What I don't doubt is that these will last well beyond the perfect chrome finish. They are clearly made with exceptional attention to detail, from what appears to my well trained eye to be very high quality steel.Speaking of steel they list Japanese AICHI stainless steel in the product description. AICHI is a Japanese steel company that makes a variety of metal products including stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium. Among their stainless steels, are AUS 8 and AUS 10. AUS 8 is an "ok" steel, AUS 10 is a very good steel. I'd be curious to know just what steel by AICHI is used in the construction of these scissors. But one thing I do know, is that AICHI is very strict with their heat treatment standards for their steels. So this lends me to believe that these scissors are, indeed, quite outstanding in their construction and should last a long, long time.In fact, if you know a hair stylist / barber in training, I can think of NO greater graduation gift than a set of these. These should last a beginner in the field a lifetime of haircuts.I'm sure AOLANDUO was hoping for a professional barber or hair stylist to review these. Nope. You got something better. You got an ENGINEER. And if a pair of scissors satisfies me from an engineering standpoint? I promise they'll satisfy you from a hair cutting standpoint.And these blow me away.

Istarted cutting my partner’s hair back in the 1980’s when we were broke students. It was finally time to replace those old shears with the whole COVID thing. Love these! Super sharp, and super easy cutting action. They will pay for themselves within the year. Fast delivery too.

Die Schere liegt gut in der Hand, beim schneiden bekomme ich das Gefühl, dass manchmal die Haare geschoben werden anstatt zu schneiden. An sich für das preis ist die Schere zu empfehlen.
