This is a super starting point for entry into X-wing gaming which is an amazing game. This is the latest version (2nd edition) and has 3 ships in it. This is enough for you to play very basic matches using the escalation system (where one ship is used again when it is defeated). You will need to buy more expansions in order to play a 'normal' version of x-wing but this is a great starting point to play with family or just to try it out and see if you like it.As usual, Fantasy Flight provide great components and the painting on the ships is awesome :)

I bought as a gift and when opened the models were all out of shape like they had been stored incorrectly. The x wing cabins bend down and the tie wings and bent in at angles. Amazon give the option to contact manufacturer which I did and have been completely ignored . So I am left out of pocket.

This does not include shield tokens and only has 5-6 charge counters and does not include any ship numbers or target locks. The Core set only has 4 shield tokens and 6-8 charge counters and ship numbers/target locks 1-6 so you will be short unless you buy more core sets or 2nd edition ships that you likely have already.After buying this conversion and a core set I do not have enough tokens to fly 3 X-Wings without dipping back into my 1st edition tokens.While necessary this product should not cost more than a core set.

I was suggested to play this game by a friend in the states. As a Star Wars fan I was interested. I have never really played any table top games so this was a first.Great starter set and value for money. Myself and the partner have played a few games now and Ive begun to buy addons.Be careful this soon becomes an addictive hobby!

Having been given the X-Wing 2.0 core set as a gift for Christmas by a friend, I knew I would need a few expansions. My first thought was to get a Y-Wing. From a relative newbies point of view, I think this am excellent product! It comes with all components required to fly this ship, along with an array of pilots and upgrades, which really add to the game. Also provided are 4 different devices, which can be dropped as bombs. This is a function not included in the core set, that adds an extra level of fun to the game as you try to weave your way in and out of the various obstacles! Overall, this a great expansion for both newcomers and seasoned veterans of the game!
