This is not for a beginner. The instructions say to stabilize the fabric. This term is generally used for machine embroidery. The correct term is to apply interfacing. The instructions say medium or light weight, but it should be more specific. It should also be specific in applying the interfacing (not stabilizer) to the lining, as this is generally not done. That aside, it worked pretty well. I didn't use that silly label that came with the pop up insert.

Great pattern to create a pop-up thread-catcher for when I travel to various places with my sewing machine. Very handy!!
