Great price point. Not too heavy to carry around. Solid build. Good looking easel. Good storage for a 1/2 box. Can lay flat, can be used on a desk. This easel is very versatile. I use mostly at home in the studio but have taken it out a few times with no issues. You will have to tighten the screws well but other than that - Highly recommend.

As good as my Julian and half the price. Here I have it set up on a tv table with a thick 24x24 gallery canvas on it. Very sturdy and well-made.

I really enjoy the compactness and portability of this easel. It was easy to assemble and it is sturdy. The legs slip occasionally - the wingnuts get loose, so I may need to invest in some better quality ones. The included pallet was a nice bonus.

I am pretty skeptical about most marketing but I am pleased with how this half-sized (actually about 3/4 size of a standard) french easel was represented on Amazon. It was nicely packaged and it arrived in good shape. I live in Hawaii and some packages are really beat-up when they arrive.All the parts were nicely crafted and there was very little assembly required. I did take it all apart though so I could oil it with Howard's Butcher Block Conditioner, a food grade mineral oil. The finish is beautiful! And it can take the high humidity now that it is protected.Would I buy it again-in a minute!

if you have a big house and space and not painting on the move, then this will be your solution, because is a little heavy for my size im 5-3 and with the paints and brushes, gets a lot heavier, i like my light weight portable one better. the only good about this one is that you have a place to put your brushes and some paints, but not all of them...in the portable one you can not put anything anywhere. you need to carry it in another separated box.

So far I have only used it indoor for a month. I have one that is bigger and much heavier from different maker (from Costco) and needed this half-box, light weight one for traveling as well as photogenic looking for future art Instagram posting. So far, it satisfies both of my need; it is well made*, and just so satisfying to display next to my temporary art studio wherever I stay.*I will come back to review in more details once I experience it outdoor.

This is a very nicely made easel and a great deal at $70. It is a bit smaller than a full size Plein air easel and slightly heavier due to the type of wood, but given that it will hold up to a breeze on a windy day better than a lighter version of this easel.

Plenty of storage paints and brushes. Light weight. Comfortable to carry. Easy set up and assembly. Love the drawer as a shelf for my water, paper towels and brushes. Pallet is coated which is easy to clean. Canvass can easily be adjust forward/backwards, up/down and adjusted for canvass size.
