Works great, Perfect rice Every time
LOVE this rice cooker! It holds sooo much rice, I've been using it to meal prep and it makes the best tasting rice! Very easy to clean.

Best Rice Maker on the Market
Worth the price. Just budget in extra time because Umami doubles the amount of time it takes to cook and once you try it you'll never go back.

I never thought I would fall in love with a Rice Cooker
I love gadgets, I certainly didn't need another, especially something that is basically a single task-take-up-counterspace. I had heard that Zojirushi was the best, and I will have totally agree. Some have mentioned the longer cook times. Let's just say perfection takes longer. The maiden run I did brown jasmine rice. This cycle took 105 minutes, and the rice was the best that I have ever, and I mean EVER ate. Normally brown rice is a bit crunchy the outer hull is still chewy. This rice was absolutely perfect. Soft, fluffy, fragrant, sweet and tender. it almost had a puffed rice effect, but soft.I didn't think it was possible to love a Rice cooker, but this one proved me wrong. Japanese people take their rice seriously as it is the main part of their meals, and it shows they have the best there is to cook it.I hesitated due to the price initially, but I would buy again without a second thought.

Rice cooker
Made in Japan! Great quality. The previous one that I owned which was made in china but same brand. Not too bad, it lasted 10 yrs. Before it broke. But this one, The pot itself shows how well made it is. Hopefully it will last longer.

Great but should be better
I bought this one to replace my nearly 20 years old and trusty NS-ZCC18, which finally bit the dust over one incidence or another. Since it doesn't seem to make sense to buy the same one again, I thought I'd get something else more current and this one does not disappoint in terms of all the features and I am especially looking forward to the GABA Brown function.Pros:extensive cooking menu choicessuper easy to use, barely need to glance at manual, though it's recommendedslow cook and steamer functionCons:lid is not as easy to close as the NS-ZCC18 that easily snaps with satisfying clickcooking pot feels thin and light and no longer has a pair of handles like the old one, lifting the pot from the cooker while it's hot is going to be challengingpower cable is detachable and not auto retractableI almost feel they should just plug in the new cooking chip to NS-ZCC18 and maybe if they want to paint a new color, but I think the physical design of that old trusty is superior. if you are not cooking anything other than basic jasmine rice I would certainly refer you to NS-ZCC18 instead.

Expensive, but the best rice maker I've owned, period.
I got this as a replacement for a 7 year old TFal rice maker. It's the best. The older one had major trouble with Brown rice. The Zojirushi makes the best Brown rice I've ever had. I've only used it for White and Brown rice so far. I'm certain the other functions on the machine will work equally as well as the two I've used so far. Pricey, but well worth it.

Disappointed with the Design and Quality
The rice cooker lid doesn’t close properly—it sits unevenly, with the right side noticeably higher than the left. Additionally, the top piece feels flimsy and doesn’t lock securely, making it prone to falling off easily. This design flaw is both frustrating and inconvenient. I wouldn’t recommend this rice cooker to others.
