Nowhere near being a replacement for the original one. Buy at your own risk...
My old laptop adapter died because of a cord problem (the right angle plug where the power cord enters the computer sheared due to excessive pulling of the cords by my kids). I found this as a handy alternative and based on the good reviews I ordered it. It is working okay for the moment but after comparing it with the original adapter I have seen that it is not the exact replacement of the original one Here is why:-It is considerably lighter weight (365 gr vs 238 gr excluding the power cord). That would be a good thing if it was equal in performance but unfortunately it is not, so it is probably a sign of inferiority-Gets hot to touch very quickly. There were occasions the original got warm to touch but this one feels much hotter which is not a good thing in terms of safety and future performance.-Does not bear UL certification logo. UL certification is the most valuable safety criteria for electrical items. The original adapter is UL certified while this one, despite having some other certifications, lacks that one. Not only that, it bears less than half of the logos found on the original one which clearly indicates that this is a cheap replicate, that has not been tested properly before being sold.-The performance is low: The original EXA0904YH adapter output values are 19V and 4.74 A vs this one is 19V and 3.42A which shows it is an underperformer that would take longer to recharge or may not satisfy the needs of the computer when it is doing high demanding tasks. In conclusion, I am sorry to have taken the words of reviewers who did not make a detailed explanation of the stuff but simply stated it worked for them. It works for me either but is absolutely not the replacement for the original charger and you are taking a safety and performance risk when using this. I will probably return it. I don't want to keep a cheap imitation that has questionable safety precautions to be connected to my wall 24 hours a day...

not only because it works great (my previous experience with buying replacement chargers is that ...
I use this charger on my Asus x555LB-NS51 laptop after the default charger it came with frayed. I am extremely impressed with the charger, not only because it works great (my previous experience with buying replacement chargers is that they'd cause interference issues with the Trackpad), but it is an improvement. The longer cord serves great to be able to connect to an outlet in my college class because the battery doesn't last long enough (2 hours, 45 minutes to be exact)It does not get as hot as the Asus charger, either, and has an extremely bright blue light to let you know the adapter is receiving power. The cord is thicker and stronger than the Asus charger, making it more durable and doesn't get stuck under surfaces quite so much. The only flaw is every so often (very rarely, about 1/75 uses) if I plug it in the wireless disconnects and it doesn't charge. Just unplug it and put it back in and it works fine!

Good quality, but bent Input Metal 8 months after purchase.
This charger works pretty great. However, after 8 months of usage, the metal tip to insert into the computer bent. I don't know if the metal is weak, or if something traumatic force really hit the power cord, but it now only charges in specific positions. I have ordered a new one however to replace this one because I was satisfied with the charger itself, however, I do not know if the metal is of poor quality or if it actually got bent because it got smacked really hard.

Sensitive, weak wires [edited review]
ORIGINAL REVIEW:My last charger was some generic off-brand thing I found on eBay--knowing how bad a cheap charger can be, makes me appreciate this one so much more. It doesn't overheat, it doesn't negatively affect the laptop (my last charger made the touchpad jumpy), and the cord is much longer. What's not to like?EDIT:Within a week, the wire connecting the charger to the laptop randomly became very weak--considering that I only had the charger under my desk and never bent it, I can't imagine why it would break so easily. Now in order for it to charge, I have to bent the wire really far to the left; and even then, it frequently spasms on and off. I stick by my previous review that it doesn't overheat terribly and that the cord is much longer--however, I wouldn't buy this again because of the headache I'm getting trying to keep my laptop charged.

Great replacement
My OEM power strip went out after 2 years of use and I bought this to replace it. This power adapter is much longer then my original and I absolutely love that. I always found myself looking for a near by outlet, but with this puppy it didnt matter if it was next to my bed or across my dorm room, it would reach anywhere I needed it to. It appeared to perform just as well as the original and is still working to this day. (I bought this about 3 months ago). I have noticed that it gets pretty warm, even more so if it is on a rug or blanket. This of course is to be expected with any power supply and compared to the original, this thing is ice cold. It also has a convenient velcro wrap so you can keep your excess wires organized. If I need to buy another power adapter, I'm coming here first.

Excellent replacement for OEM original
This turned out to be great for my Asus K53 laptop. I found it on Amazon quickly, verified that it was available via Amazon Prime (my favorite way to shop these days), checked the comments and ratings, and ordered. Two days later I was pleased to open the box and see that the main unit is virtually identical to the OEM original, and the cords are actually better construction than the OEM version -- heavier insulation, excellent cord-strain-relief design. Works perfectly, and I've been very pleased with this. Excellent transaction.Update 6 months later: still like new...or actually better than new. Works perfectly and remains sturdier than the OEM product.
