Mechanical Circulatory Support in End-Stage Heart Failure: A Practical Manual Hardcover – Illustrated, 25 July 2017

I am new to advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support and wanted to a go to textbook to read cover to cover. I made it to chapter 3 of this textbook before I decided to throw in the towel. The writing style is difficult to read. The phrasing is often cumbersome and awkward. A good textbook should cover difficult concepts with relative ease to increase your knowledge/ learning on the topic. Unfortunately, this book did not do that for me. It feels as though it was translated into English with little regard for common English sentence structure, phrasing, and grammar. I will say, the illustrations and the diagrams are good. However, there are typos throughout the book. For me, this textbook was not a good foundation in AHF/ MCS. I would not recommend it for those early in their AHF/ MCS career. Perhaps those with many years in the field would have a differing opinion.
