Pentax HD DA Limited 70mm F2.4 Lens - Silver

As expected from a lens in the Pentax Limited line, the build quality is excellent. The lens comes with a very nice protective pouch to prevent scuffs to the beautiful finish.Although this is my second longest focal length fixed lens, it is the smallest lens in my entire collection. The metal body and detachable lens hood feel great in hand, and the few test shots that I have performed in low light have great contrast and sharpness. The addition of rounded aperture blades this go around (HD Limited) was a great move by Pentax, as the only complaints I ever saw with the previous version of this lens (SMC Limited) was that bokeh could be a bit busy when stopped down. The rounded aperture blades should definitely help remedy any rough characteristics with bokeh performance.It looks like Pentax is following the rule of not fixing what isn't broken, as well as listening to the concerns of their loyal customers. Incremental improvements to successful products make for happy buyers.

Could not be happier with any aspect of this lens. Pentax Unlimited lens are great quality and have been compared to other prime lenses ten times the price. The image quality is superior to anything else in the price range! My kit includes a 15mm, a 35mm and a 70mm Pentax Unlimited lenses and one 50-300mm zoom I now very seldom use. If you have no problem letting your legs do the work of a zoom, you can have images of amazing quality with the Pentax Unlimited series of lenses.

The is a great lens and gets me dreamy resultsgood for sports as a mid range lens.does well in low light with a modern pentax camera.small size and weight and nice hood that comes with the lens.can use for portraits too .
