Q: Is this a genuine oem by liftmaster/chamberlain? i am seeing both yes and no here.

LiftMaster is made by Chamberlain Group. They are the same product with a different sticker. Quality will be exactly the same.

Q: Can this be used on the Liftmaster Model 8360LM?

The battery is 2 and 3/4 inches by 3 and 1/2 inches by 4.0 inches with the terminals on the long end. If your battery compartment is large enough for this size battery, it will definitely work for you.s

Q: Is this battery an agm battery? if not, are agm batteries better?

Q: is this battery compatable with lift master 8500?

No the 485lm is only for trolley operators with battery back up. The 8500 has the external battery 475LM. You can either buy the whole unit 475lm or the 2 internal batteries- 041B0591 Liftmaster 475 Replacement Batteries
