Wow. Just WOW! Not only are we able to make the most delicious restaurant quality MISO, we now make our own homemade KEWPIE mayo. I have also learned that the mild flavor blend very well in non-Asian recipes and gives a real flavor boost to sauces, soups, meatloafs and a whole range of foods. I simply replace some or all of the salt a recipe calls for with HONDASHI. Yes, it took a little bit of fun and tasty experiment, but I know have a true "secret ingredient" that makes many of my dishes stand out according to my satisfied guest. I store the box in the freezer and grab a teaspoon whenever I want that extra umami boost.

I thought Hondesi is bonito fish stock, but after trying it looks like yeast to me. Smells like yeast as well. These should provide accurate information in details since many of us cannot read foreign language. Kinda of disappointed.😔

A must have for making Sukiyaki and easy to use. Great flavor and lasts a long time. I would suggest Vacuum sealing it in portions, since unless you have a restaurant you wont go through it all before it expires.
