Good resource!
This is a very complicated book which we were required to teach this year in fifth grade in Georgia. This resource was helpful for a teacher unfamiliar with the way this author writes especially with many puns, plays on words, and other figurative language. It provides some resources for the chapters. It also provides a map which you can print for your students which they can color in as the characters progress through the Kingdoms of Dictionopolis and Digitopolis. You might also consider reviewing the free online Cliff notes' summaries that will help you understand the author's main points and puns in each chapter!

Good for lower level reader
This book is a good accompaniment to the novella The Phantom Tollbooth.

Great for advanced 5th or 6th grade
I have taught this novel for several years. The teaching pack, although a little dated, has some great writing activities and projects. I taught this to 5th graders, however, the metaphors and symbolism were tough for some. It would probably be more appropriate for 6th grade or Middle School.

Good Material
This books is filled with different activities for the book "The Phantom Tollbooth." It has everything you need to do a complete unit. It also makes great supplemental material to an existing curriculum. I would recommend this to any teacher looking to add this book to their curriculum.

Terrific tool!
Wonderful resource to have. I have used the book for years on my own. Now I have more activities to go along with it.

Great Resource
The only issue is it doesn't leave a lot of room to be flexible. For example, an activity will cover 4 chapters when my class only read 2, or 1, and then we'd be "off schedule". But it's a handy book full of ideas. Good value for the price and I'd recommend it if this is your first approach to the book.
