Love it
Very happy with this being 45 rpm, that was a very pleasant surprise. Only downside is the jacket is a little too small for both discs, but I just keep one outside the jacket in the outer sleeve

It's a Swing Thing
I heard "Lone Digger" for the first time a couple of years ago and said, "What the heck is this?" That is where my love of Caravan Palace began. In my opinion, this is by far their best album. I also feel like it is one of the most notable electronica albums I've ever listened to. If you like quirky music or feel like you belong in another era, this is the way to go.

Great record, eh packaging
The vinyl sounds great, the packing is pretty flimsy. Super glossy and thin paper sleeve. Still a good buy

Probably not intentional, but the vinyl is warped
Vinyl was warped so constant skipping, adds some interesting sounds and remixes in some places and other times is very unenjoyable to listen too, it's a shame because it's such a great album

Great album. Few pops here and there. Would still recommend because its great.
Great album, arrived in perfect shape and in a timely manner. Very much appreciated. 5 stars on delivery. 4 stars on album only because there were a few very minor spots that pop. One spot on side a I believe and a few on side D. It's slightly detracting at one spot but otherwise a very solid pressing and I would recommend this to a friend as long as they aren't a crazy audiophile. Very smooth album with a good flow. Starts out with a band and mellows out as it goes on. Really love them and will get more Caravan Palace for sure.

Really just bought if for the meme of Lone Digger.
So....The only real reason I got this album was kind of for the song Lone Digger. The well, music video, is quite popular to a certain group, which I am in, for certain reasons. *Ahem* Anyways, I was quite surprised how good the rest of the songs are too. Quite fabulous if you asked me. The record itself is of high quality and has a good weight to it. I recommend that you get this album.

Some songs ruined
Mostly all of the songs were good listening quality but some repeated parts of it and some were scratched and it was slowed.

Electro Swing with a modern twist!!!
I have been a fan of Caravan Palace since 2008 with buying their first CD and have been in love ever since. Whenever I saw that they were making new music I jumped on this album as quick as I could knowing that I was taking a gamble at not listening to any of the tracks before the purchase... and I am not disappointed at the results. Now, there were concerns that there was a lot more Electro than Swing on this album but I can assure you that it is chalked full of swing that will make you stand up and dance like the last two albums! The music that Caravan Palace makes is and always will be unique and experimental. New and old listeners will definitely hear comfortingly familiar as well as delightfully unpredictable new sounds. I am looking forward to buying more goodies from their store as well as a physical CD of this beauty! It's just too good to not have!

A One-Track Disc
First off, for audiophiles; the production quality on this album is very good. Now to the main review:Caravan Palace are a big name in the electroswing scene, and you won't be surprised when you hear the first track. 'Lone Digger' is exciting and engaging to listen to, blending soft, sexy, staccato vocals with a powerful rap chorus; all to a pulsing dance beat listeners of this genre will be familiar with. However, this is by far and away the stand-out track on this album. For me, 'Midnight' had some pleasant ambient sounds; piano arpeggios and lazy brass swamped in reverb. 'Wonderland' also stands out with a catchy, quirky instrumental melody. Why 3 stars?Well, most tracks on this album can be reduced to a strong driving bass beat, simple & repetitive percussion and vocal loops repeated so much you'll wonder why they didn't shorten the track. It'll remind you of generic, contemporary dance music. Not that there's anything wrong with that per se.I love the band, and for the sake of supporting them, I paid £8 mostly for Lone Digger and 2 other tracks. Be warned, if you don't *really* like electroswing, you're only buying a couple tracks you're likely to listen to.Otherwise, enjoy!

Original band fusing folk, rap and the 1920's ... Check them out!
Bought this on impulse after seeing Caravan Palace on Later with Jools Holland where they were brilliant. Fantastically original fusion of 1920's style charleston rhythms, with folk instrumentals, driving rhythms and the strangest scat/rap combo I've ever heard - BUT IT WORKS!!! The album dust quite capture the energy of the live performance with the dancing and band interactions being a key part of their "thing", but pretty good all the same. If you're not sure, check them out on Later with Jools on YouTube - the Lone Digger track should give you a snapshot. Recommended.

The Electro Swing masterpiece we all need.
I've been a huge fan of Caravan Palace after discovering them by accident a few months ago when listening to their song "Lone Digger", track number 1 on this album.Since then I've listened heavily to all their songs through Amazon Music and Youtube, and just knew I needed the physical CD.Now, I'm not usually one for CD's, really I'm not, but this was the exception to the rule! The disc itself is gorgeous (I won't spoil the design for you), the music clarity is crisp and superb, and the musical style is defined enough to make the band unique, while having a variety of play styles to keep you intrigued. If you're a fan of Electro Swing, you have to buy this album. If you want to support a relatively new and, this is a great way to do it.Highly recommended.

Brilliant.
I took a complete punt on this, knowing nothing about the group previously and relying totally on the reviews. What a revelation. If you can listen to this album and resist tapping your toes then there's something wrong with you. This is a great album and I'm only glad I discovered it, even it was by pure chance. Brilliant.

Excellent electro swing but it is a bitter edgier than ...
Heard this band on Jools Holland and bought this as a result. Excellent electro swing but it is a bitter edgier than (say) Caro Emerald. I love it as it takes elements of two my favourite genres, electro swing and and hard core electronica.
