I don't understand the complaints about scent and burning hours We have heated our home for decades with wood, and this candle smells EXACTLY like a wood burning fire The complainers must have never smelled a real wood fire As far as the burning hours, we burned this candle for 3 hours every night for 32 nights before it went to candle heaven Halfway through the month, we were so pleased that we ordered two more And yes, you can hear it crackle, but you can't have your T.V. or stereo blaring, or your kids running around the house Put them to bed, play some beautiful music, turn the lights down, and relax from the stresses of the day with your favorite person and beverage of choice A wonderful way to end the day

I'm about halfway through this candle. I like it; it has a pleasant, light sugary scent. It also has a nice, crackling sound that I can hear very prominently. But I agree with the previous reviewer who said it doesn't exactly smell like smoke (it smells more like toasted marshmallows), which is part of the reason why I gave it three stars. The other reason is because, contrary to the manufacturer's claim, there is no way this candle will burn for 100 hours. Like I said, I'm about halfway through this candle, and that's after burning it for about an hour a day since I received it eleven days ago. So just doing the math, I expect to get about 22-24 hours out of this candle. I don't think I will be purchasing this candle again because I can get bigger, longer lasting candles for a better value.

The media could not be loaded.  Its a beautiful candle with a nice wooden top. It crackles like a fire which is nice.It does NOT smell like a fireplace / wood burning. It does have a pleasant sweet subtle scent to it. Almost like smelling hot cocoa or the begging of brownies baking. It's not what I was looking for and I feel like I wasted my money.

This isn't an offensive smelling candle, but I'm returning it because it's not a scent I'd like to fill my house with. I think the other reviews that mentioned smelling toasted marshmallow as the main note were spot on. You can get a wood smoke hint as well, but more like the smell of ashes of an old campfire than the woodsmoke itself.

I’ve had three of these and I love the scents. The glass containers however, are a problem. All have cracked near the rim. Sometimes laterally, sometimes vertically. Had to dispose of before entirely used. They are too expensive only use once or twice.

I saw this candle at my mother's house and it immediately intrigued me and I had to buy it! The smell is amazing and lasts far after being blown out. The crackling of the wood wick is so peaceful and relaxing. The candle also burns for such a long time. It's the perfect candle for long days of working from home.

I was sorry the additional essential oils nearly eclipsed the "campfire" smell. At least the seller does list the perfume oils added, and I'd hoped they were more subtle.

The scent is ok but i was hoping for something a little more like a fireplace. The wick burns very dim almost to the point it looks like its going to go out. It does have a nice crackling sound.

I really had high hopes for this candle as had heard lots of good things about this brand. The candle itself smells gorgeous when not lit, however I found the scent throw it not very strong. At first I thought it may be down to the size of the room I was using it so lit it in a much smaller box room instead however the result was not much better.I give this 3 stars however as the crackle is so soothing, It really does sound like a real log fire, however if it is high scent throw you are looking for then I wouldn't recommend this brand as there are others out there that are much stronger

I love woodwick candles. I have a black cherry one which I love lighting and listening to the crackle, but what I really wanted was something that would smell like a proper wood fire too. They have several "fire" fragrances, bonfire, fireside, etc, but based on other reviews I thought I'd try this one. Definitely smokey! Success!

Looks nice smells nice and doesn't go down quick

Not a particularly strong scent of woodsmoke but lovely crackling sound as it burns.

Lovely warm scent, fills a room without being overpowering, crackle is soothing too - like a very small campfire!
