Casablanca 99195 Fan & Light Wall Remote Control, White (Works only with Casablanca Universal Receiver 99199 (sold separately))

This is a gang box mounted fan/light remote with a separate latching switch (push-to-make, push-to-break).If you wire up the latching switch (push-to-break) it will sever the power to the fan/light which will render the remote unable to operate the fan until you press the switch again (push-to-make) returning power to the fan/light. If you press the light button the light will go off, same for fan.I would suggest never using the latching switch except for emergencies when your fan slings a blade off and hits the Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican hairless dog).It is NOT necessary to use/connect the switches wires for the wall control remote to operate the fan if the fan is wired directly to power. The switch will just be unused and will do nothing.The batteries of the wall control will control the fan exactly like a normal remote. See video & pictures. Sorry, no banana for scale.I caviled at the very slight off white color.I used this on a Hunter Apache Fan model 59381 with SIMPLEconnect smart home integration (Google Assistant for me).

Synced good with my hunter fan with remote. Only downside is batteries but so far have lasted over a month.

I have a Hunter Aerodyne fan that came with a remote control and wifi capability, however, I hated having to use the remote when entering or exiting the room. I could just turn the unit off at the light switch, but then I couldn’t use any of the smart features b/c the power was completely cut off from the unit. This wall switch totally solved that issue. Now I can turn the fan & light on/off at the wall and power will still flow to the unit so my smart features will work. And it was a breeze to install. It paired immediately with no problems whatsoever!

The ad says it works with all Casablanca fans but this didn't work for ours. I replaced the existing wall control with this one, installed the batteries but nothing happened. Our ceiling is sixteen feet high so it's too difficult to get to the fan itself without hiring a professional to see if some controls on the fan itself need to be twerked. I was hoping that this new white control would just simply replace the old wall control which still works fine but is a dull yellowish colour that doesn't go with our new laminate floors and bright white baseboards and electrical outlet and switch covers. No luck so I returned it for refund.

Casablanca tech support said this was the proper wall control for my Casablanca Whitman 59062 ceiling fan, but it didn't work. I believe I paired it properly because the fan would respond to button presses - but perform the wrong function. For example, if I pressed button to turn on the lights - the fan would do something crazy like reverse direction. It would do various operations when I pressed buttons, just not the operation shown on the button! The unit was obviously used, package torn, bag with screws, wire nuts, batteries was open - I don't know if something wrong with this particular controller and maybe thats why it was returned? I called Casablanca again after I received the unit and they said again this was the right model controller for my fan.
