Already assembled, which I love, so you unfold and voila it’s ready to use. Big enough for full grown hen. Probably only by 1 full grown hen at a time, but 2 younger chicks used it fine. Best one I could find that was full size and not tiny.

I bought this based on the great reviews, and I'm not disappointed! My hens need a little extra roosting space and this should allow 2-3 another option. 3 adult hens may be a little squished but we all know they have to be in the same nesting box throughout the day so they must not mind being squished.Good quality, comes put together, and the wood is free of splinters or rough spots— nice and smooth! This is definitely nice enough for me to consider buying another if I need more space.

I wish everything was made this well. I use this perch for my smaller bantams but all my chickens love it! The perch is VERY well made with good, solid wood and no assembly required. You just flip it open.

My birds and I are very happy with this purchase. We have only a few chickens, all bantam breeds, so didn’t need anything huge or high. This is perfect for our needs. It fits well in our home-built coop and would fit 2 birds side by side if they wanted to. The width on the bar is sufficient for them to be able to cover their feet entirely when roosting in the winter so no worries about frostbite if you live in a cool place and don’t have an insulated coop.

When all our chicks had the audacity to survive and all be hens, we maxed out our coop roost according to chicken math. I wanted to give the girls a little elbow room. This is sturdy, well made, and just what they like as far as roosting goes. It's small enough to move into the run if somebody needs to feel superior or safe if we decide to add another long roost bar.

I’m chilling waiting for my McDonald's order so hey, I have free time so wanted to right a review. One of my girls got bumble foot after moving them to a newer coop. it wasn’t too bad but I researched it and a thin perch was the cause. After I bought the first one I got another one because my girls looked really comfortable on them. It also helped bring the bumble foot down so that’s a plus. Easy to install depending on what coop you have. I’m happy I bought them!
