Mystery and Gratification
I think this is my favorite book of the series so far. What was seeming to become convoluted was given a refreshing fresh start. On to the next.

best book so far!
This installment was by far the most thrilling, thought-provoking, pleasantly strange, and engaging book so far. We’re immediately introduced to an entirely new world and get to witness excellent character development in both Arthur and his sister, who I’d been wanting to learn more about. I honestly don’t understand the negative reviews. The story was well paced and even philosophical without taking away from the series’s standard level of action or pace. What I loved the most about this book was how both Arthur and his sister learned how to empathize with the enemy. The last zone with the aether beast tribes was fascinating and really makes you think! I’m looking forward to seeing how the author turns this around in Arthur’s favor. MC is already incredibly OP but it’s crazy to think he isn’t even close to beating an asura by the end of this novel.Great improvement as a writer and story teller.

Another Hit!
I was enraptured. This series pulled me in from the start and it hasn't let go. Many times as I read other similarly long series I start to lose interest, but these books have done an amazing job of retaining my interest. I never know what to expect and the story line never follows a predictable arc which is incredible. It take a lot of talent to keep a reader engaged throughout the growth of a character. And what a growth it has been for Arthur AKA Grey. I absolutely live how his two lives are starting to blend more and more and he's accepting the good and the bad in himself. I love that he doesn't just completely shake off his previous life but always finds ways to integrate it into who he is now. The character development he's shown over the series is nothing short of beautiful and I can't wait to see what's in store for him next. I only wish I didn't have to wait for the next book so long! I'm a die hard fan and I won't be letting go of Grey/Arthur for a long time. Also, can we talk about Caera! Wow absolutely loved her. Who says the main character has to stay with the first love interest introduced in a series???? I love the chemistry and relationship between Grey and Caera and I can't wait to see more of them in the future. Yayh! I have high hopes for the next books to come:))))

Very good addition to the series!
Action packed and exciting for most of the book. Some slower areas along the way but overall was a great read. The jump in perspective tends to ruin the build up of excitement and certain points but did not take away from the quality of the story itself. Keep up the good work and im looking forward to buying next in series!

Survival!? What happens to Arthur following the events of Book 7?
Book 8: Ascension, throws us straight in to the world of TBATE following the events of Book 7. I don’t want to spoil anything but for those that love this series as much as I do, we are in for a wild ride full of surprises as we join Arthur in this latest installment of TBATE! And just a little teaser for those about to start reading (or listening), I absolutely love Arthur’s “companion” and I’m sure you all will too!!Can’t wait for the next installment, Book 9 can’t come any sooner <3And a little side note:If you aren’t listening to this on Audible, you are really missing out!! I’ve gone back and purchased all the Audible books because of how much I love Travis Baldree’s iterations of TBATE. He really adds to the charm the characters have and really brings them to life which makes TBATE so much more enjoyable!! If you haven’t done so, give it a listen on Audible and you won’t regret it.If you have the Audible version and the Kindle book, you can read and listen to and follow along with WhisperSync or something like that on Kindle and it’s been a very enjoyable experience for me. I’ve gone back and done this for all the TBATE books from 1-8.

Love it but worries
Potential spoilers!: Like so far. I am just worried about how Tessia is gonna progress as a character. She kinda just sat there most of the time acting as the love interest, and the only real character development she got was as Arts love interest and she started to come out as something more during this volume, but it was cut short. Hopefully, she gets more well rounded in future volumes. I like the new side characters, and I think you did a pretty great job of making a cast from scratch to work with the MC when he was TP'd across the globe. I kinda this Nico turning into a nut case is a bit weird, because he is suppose to the the smart kid in the group. Seeing how it is possible to revive his love interest you would think he would care less about revenge against Gray and more about finding out ways to revive the love interest (name escapes me atm). I think this is a missed opportunity. Nico could have also became a victim to the Vritra through manipulation, but it seems he is fully allied with them instead, making him less of am empathizable character and more of a bad guy to beat up and replace Lucas. Looking forward to the next volume!

Fantastic Series
If magic and the otherworldly interest you I cannot recommend this series more. I started with the comic, and when I reached the end of that, picked up where I left off in the novel series. Absolutely fantastic and I don’t want it to end.
