SLOW. SLOWER. SLOWWEESST
Avoid this model. It's no faster than a new HDD. Someone said it lacks DRAM for cache. I found that out of the box it would not hit the 520 claimed, it could only do 200 with an empty drive, once formatted with a filesystem that dropped in half. Max I was getting was 140 peak, but that dwindles to 39 after sustained writing. Which is slower than the HDD I originally had. But the worst part was lag. The wait time to access data was actually causing system to lag. Clicking anything would be a 1-2 second response before anything would register. While previous HDD feels instant. This was confirmed by doing an IOWAIT test to see what CPU was waiting for. HDD was 0.1 to 1% iowait results, with SSD it was typically 7%. A substantial increase in CPU waiting for SSD to complete it's task.

Amazing value SSD for reliable external backup with no moving parts
Purchase date: Aug 28, 2019, update May 7th 2020, still going strong. As a media / program / storage drive this is awesome. This plus a USB3-to-SATA3 connector gives me backup performance that rivals DROBO-5D3.People have asked whether it has a DRAM cache - no it only has pseudo-SLC cache, but unless you are running a database server on it, you won't notice the difference. If your system is low on RAM, don't use an SSD for your swap file. it will prematurely wear out your drive, leading to data loss and replacing a drive that probably cost more than the RAM you should have bought.

ssd died after a month of use
Their ssd's must be really cheap and bad quality for it to die after a month of use. but thats not the main problem i have with this company. After i contacted them saying that my ssd died, they wanted me to send them the broken ssd over for them to send me a new one. Thing is it cost me more than the price of the actual ssd to ship it to them since its in another country. 2 weeks later, I finally receive my replacement and i contacted them asking to pay me back the amount that it cost me to ship the broken ssd to them and they would not pay me back. I dont recommend buying ssd's from this company even if they are cheap prices.

Migration software not good, invasive license and for old Windows versions
SSD seems to work fine but the claimed migration software is not goodTo get Acronis OEM (for windows 10) you have to register including the use of your information for (unspecified) credit card transactions.I can't accept that I have my information used for financial transactions never mind the other stuff they expect you to accept. The SSD is actually not eligible for Acronis OEM because it doesn't have the symbol on the box. It may be eligible for the older version ( for Windows up to v8) but who has that nowdays? The posting says they have migration software, what a pain finding it then not being able to use it because of the invasive license agreement, if it is even eligible. Then it may not even work for your version of Windows (W10).Buy a Kingston or other SSD unless you want to use some other migration software
