Small Versatile Powerful
The media could not be loaded. The Colaze 5 in 1 Immersion Hand Blender is a budget friendly blender, packed with many features and accessories! The packaging is a standard cardboard box with printed glossy surface displaying the hand blender and attachments on the front. Upon opening the box you will see a top shelf holding the handheld motor and Stick Blender. Lifting the shelf up reveals the many accessories included with the blender.Accessories/Attachments included with the blender are: Stick Blender, Chopper Bowl, Metal Whisk, Whisk Holder, Measuring Cup, Milk Frother and an included gift bag with Egg Separator, Coffee Spoon and S Hooks. Also included is a comprehensive user manual as well as a Colaze Hand Blender Recipe book. The blender unit is concealed within a lightweight Black Plastic and Stainless Steel Accent design. Attached is a black power cord with generous length. It did not feel light or cheap but it also was not heavy to hold for several minutes. The top of the blender motor contains a beautiful blue accent ring light and polished chrome ring. The top of the blender has a rotary dial to select the 12 speeds available. I found speed setting 3 was enough to mix my favorite protein drink, chopping up celery into a paste, or reducing my favorite cereal into a powder for donut toppings. On the side of the motor handle is a start button. This button is great because it only runs the blender while it’s pressed. Once you let go of the botton the blender stops. It’s great because you can pulse blend by hitting the button multiple times. Below the start button is a turbo button that automatically puts the blender into its fastest speed(speed 12). At the very bottom of the motor handle is a quick release tab to easily and quickly switch between accessories. The motor is a very capable and powerful 800 watts. It’s amazing that such a powerful motor was contained with a sleek and handheld housing. The motor is noisy but it’s no louder than a regular blender or one of those tiny portable blenders. This isn’t a drawback but was noted. The motor housing which is also the handle you hold, does get hot if used continuously. It is not meant to be run for long periods of time. Colace thankfully included a Thermal cut off protection feature. It will shut the blender off if it gets too hot!The accessories were a pleasant surprise because they were very useful and makes the blender versatile. Simply place the motor handle onto the top of the included chopper bowl and it’ll click into place. The stick blender is stainless steel and worked like a charm to make a paste out of celery. I used the chopper bowl to make a powder out of my favorite cereal as well as reduced some green seaweed balls to a chunky salsa. The chopper bowl was generous enough in size to make quite a bit of salsa. The bowl is also completely dishwasher safe and was a breeze to clean just by running water into it. My favorite addition was the Milk Frother. I used it to blend my favorite protein powder with milk. The included whisk was great for mixing cake mixes and other powders. I also enjoyed the included measuring cup. It has Ounces and Milliliter marking on it. All of the accessories can be easily cleaned in a dishwasher.Pros: Modern black and chrome accents as well as a blue led ring light.12 speed settings with easy to use rotary dial speed control.Multiple accessories included make it versatile!Attaching accessories was a breeze and quick release.Powerful 800 watt motor to chop through many different types of food. The blades are sharp and stainless steel.Cons: Most of the parts are plastic which is fine but it would feel more premium if it was all metal especially the parts that connect to the blender. The blender does get hot if used continuously for over 1 minute. However the motor does cut off due to the temperature protection feature. It wasn’t hot during our entire operation but there are warning about it in the manual.Bottom-line: For the price, this is a must for your kitchen gadgets! It does what it promises and does it well! The multitude of added accessories are well worth the asking price(currently $39.97 on Amazon)!

This hand blender is very good and makes life very easy, it comes with many useful accessories .Instruction material is very good and simple to understand. The recipe book included with it nice and colorful. They also included a surprise gift, a egg separator, coffee spoon and s hooks, they are very useful things to have in kitchen. We are using this blender more than a week and we liked it very much, we are using this blender daily for making smoothies and for whisking/beating.Easy to make smoothies, milkshakes with this blender, it is powerful enough to blend nuts and fruits at the same time. It also does chopping very well. It is very easy to use and clean/wash, it save lot of time in cleaning, if we were using big and bulky blender jars, such as Ninja ,etc .It saves lot of space, light weight and multi functional will replaces many other things in the kitchen.

Get a Lot for Your Money
The media could not be loaded. I'm fortunate enough to have another immersion blender from a household name company to compare this to. The most obvious difference between the two is what you get for the same amount of money. My current blender is only a two speed and comes with a blending arm, blending cup, and cap. The Colaze Immersion Blender has 12 speeds, comes with not only the blending stick and cup, it includes a whisk, a frothing arm, a chopping bowl and blade, and also includes a gift of egg separator, coffee measuring spoon, and S-hooks. The weight of my current blender is slightly heavier than the Colaze which starts to make a difference if you are holding it for long periods, though the housing and attachments look to be made of the same materials. I like the way the blending arm, and other attachments connect to the motor. The attachments click into place and can only be released by pressing the two buttons on each side of the motor. My other blender's arm attaches by twisting and locking into place. I often had a problem with the arm twisting off when I least expected it. It did take me a few tries to remove the attachments efficiently, but once I got the hang of it, it wasn't a problem. I also like the fact that the inside of the blade housing is flat instead of a tulip shape which makes it easier to clean.I tested the blender on a smoothie (using the blending arm), pasta sauce (using the blending arm and chopping bowl), milk frothing (using frothing arm), and scrambled eggs (using the whisk).Smoothie - used frozen banana cut into pieces, quartered strawberries, crushed ice, yogurt, and milk. I started on level 6 but the strawberries didn't fully blend so switched to level 12 and they got blended perfectly.Pasta Sauce - I took the recipe from the recipe book, but there were no directions on what and when to blend. I chopped up the carrot, celery, and onion individually in the chopping bowl. I roughly chopped each vegetable into smaller chunks. The celery and onion were easily chopped. There were a couple of chunks carrot which wouldn't reduce even on level 12. I ended up chopping these up by hand. I used the blending arm to puree all the ingredients, but a lot of the tomatoes didn't get blended. After cooking everything together, blending everything was a lot easier.Frothed Milk - From past experience, I know that you have to heat the milk prior to frothing. There is a warning not to blend hot liquids, but I don't know what that threshold is. I did not use the 120 degree milk in the plastic blending cup because of a fear of cracking the cup, so I used a glass measuring cup. Milk frothed beautifully.Scrambled Eggs - Very straight forward, even used some of the frothed milk. Would like to further test the whisk on egg whites or cream.Pros - A lot of accessories for a great price; can accomplish tasks of larger multiple appliances in a smaller package; blue LED light around the top of the motor reminds you that unit is still plugged in; accessories actually lock into place and stay there until released; most items dishwasher-safeImprovements I'd Like to See - The measurements on the blending cup and chopping bowl are clear and hard to see. I would like to see those in black. The interior of the chopping bowl have vertical lines around the bowl which makes it harder to run a spatula around the inside. I would like to see those removed or put on the outside. The recipe book is just a list of ingredients for different foods, i.e., smoothies, soups, dips, etc. with no other direction as how to make. I would like a recipe book that actually supplies recipes with instructions of how to make. There are no recommendations for the use of the different speeds. I tended to use 3 speeds. If there is no recommendation for the other speeds, do you really need 12?

It is powerful and doesn't splash due to the blade configuration.
I will need to be on a pureed diet post surgery and this should do the job however it is quite heavy. I am just getting used to it to see what it can do. The one thing I don't like are the buttons you need to push, to break down the unit, separating the blades from the motor unit. They do not release easily and you need a grip of steel to push them in. This makes it difficult for someone with a bit of arthritis or a weak grip. I would like to know if anyone else has this problem or if it is defective?

Falls apart
I have had this hand blender for just over a year and have not used it often. The base does not stay attached to the motor. I have to use it with two hands to hold it together.
