I bought this since I already had a Dogtra collar and remote, hoping that I could just add my already existing collar as a second. But unfortunately, the collars are not compatible. I had to buy the 282C with two collars, (I found that my old collar only works with its original remote).Besides that, it works as intended. I will say that I was disappointed with the vibrate-pager function as it is very light. I use my page for corrections, and I felt like this vibrate wouldn't do the trick.It works as intended, it just didn't fit my needs.

So far I am very happy with this product. I haven't tested the product to see if it's water proof but I trust that it is. It's also too soon for me to comment on battery life, I'm still on my first charge.At first, I was apprehensive to use the collar. I have used invisible fences in the past with great success so I'm familiar with how they work. I have a seven month old Brittany who is a wonderful puppy and has a sensitive side so I was worried about this type of training having a negative effect on her. She was being defiant so I had to do something. I highly recommend watching Standing Stone Kennels on youtube. I find their video's to be very helpful and enjoyable to watch. I followed their instructions and have had great success. So far I have only used the vibration mode to train my dog. We are very early in our training program but my Brittany now comes running to me when I tell her to come. I am very happy with the quality of this training collar, it's ease of use and I highly recommend it.
