Great Skates! love the color the material and the performance.

I have loved skating, but these are the first skates I've ever had as my own. Ever. In 38 years. I was happy they arrived on time, although I did sit perched and stalking our local UPS guy hoping the tracking was wrong and they'd be delivered early. Getting used to them was a bit of an effort, because that's what happens when you're used to chewed up rent skates. Housework is so much fun now. I get to zip around doing what I need and take them off just in time for the kids to get home and me to keep up appearances and periodically yell 'don't play in the house'. ;) I wear a size 10 and my skates are a size 9. I could have gone with the 8, but the 9 fits good and gives me room to tighten them up or wear thicker socks. The wheels all rolled even to me, although because they are new and I'm skating on smooth concrete (garage) for the first time, they are 'slick'. The upper boot is still a bit stiff, but I was told that is normal for new boots and will conform as used. The color is beautiful, reminds me of a Tiffany box with a little more pigment. So far, I love them.

I love my Boardwalk skates. They are comfortable and stylish. I am a woman’s 8 but the size 6 fits great!However they did not come with Suregrip boardwalk wheels that they should have been sold with , even though the picture shows boardwalk wheels. Instead they came with Suregrip motion wheels which are a smaller and less expensive wheels. I was not happy about that at all because I have to pay to upgrade my wheels to get what I should have gotten in the first place.

These are beautiful well made skates. Was undecided between the moxis and these boardwalk by suregrip and finally decided on these because of the price..120 cheaper than moxis. I couldnt be happier. They are as beautiful (exactly like the picture) as they are comfortable. REAL LEATHER boot, sturdy well built plate with a great adjustable toe stop. They roll very smooth, nice cushy outdoor wheels, these are fantastic at my local parkway for cruising with my skating friends. Sizing was spot on. A ladies size 9 in shoe was equal to a (mens sizing on these) size 8 in these boardwalk skates.

I am happy so far with the skates. I am new to roller skating so I can only share work for me. Buy some foam inserts and socks with ankle jel pads to help with comfort. I wear a 10.5 women and bought a 9 they fit perfect. The lace up clips are soft so gentle when you lace up. The wheels need adjustment so buy a tool for that. I would buy again and I love trying to roller skate. I’m not a young person so I only skate at places designed for roller skating. However I would feel comfortable going on a sidewalk if my skill set was better. I watched a wonderful my skilled roller skater wearing the same skates as me and it gave me hope that I picked the right skates. Enjoy!

These skates were so much more than I expected! After ordering Moxis, my skates were continuously being pushed back (I waited 9months with the order originally saying it’d be shipped in 3months). I was extremely frustrated, so I cancelled my order with them. I was looking for something similar in style and material, but also durable. These were perfect! A little tight/snug, but that’s how they should be since the leather/suede material forms to your foot after breaking them in. This is my first skate with a nylon plate and honestly it feels so much lighter when skating. I was worried because I was afraid it would break easier, but low a behold it’s held up. Overall, the skates fit well and as expected when you purchase in men’s size. I’m normally a women’s 8.5 so I got the men’s size 7. The color is vibrant and cute! Very happy with this pair and will definitely purchase SureGrip products in the future.

Woohoo! Teal colored skates and wheels! Fun! After reading reviews I got the size 9 (42) men’s even though I am more of a 9.5 (43) and it was the right choice.The is no skate key included but it never said there was one so, after receiving them, I got out my ratchet set and tested the wheels. I loosened up three wheels and they rolled evenly after that.I wore them around the house for a day to help to start breaking them in. The leather is pliable but like any leather boot, it’s just a matter of wearing them. For my first skate, I put some cotton under bandaids on the areas around my ankles that would get roughed up a bit until the boot is worn in. (It’s been years since I owned skates). That worked well but I didn’t get all the spots so I’ll double up next skate. I also put a pair of short gym socks and regular athletic socks on top of that - always best to be prepared!I was doing outdoor skating and was on some gentle slopes that required some braking. The brake pad, the piece on the front, was shorter than I expected but it worked.After getting my skating “legs” and confidence back, the skates were great! I like the boot for ankle support and I picked up speed as the skating went on. Soon I was backward skating and doing a few of the tricks I used to do. After a few more skates I’ll feel more confident and these skates will be like second nature.And on I go! Happy skating folks!
