An excellent simple to follow guide!
I found this book incredibly helpful to formulate my thoughts on the type of role I was looking for, my skills and managing application process. I am an ‘amateur’ career coach and the book captures much of what I have always talked about with story telling. I now regularly tell coachees to buy the book!

More than a resume book!
If you believe you deserve better than what you are up to now, then you should definitely read this book (dive in it deeply, actually).Starting by focusing on your career stories (a step by step approach to discover them) you end up earning much more self-awareness than you may expect from resume related book. It's like driving you to the steps towards your dream job/career (while providing all the tools to land it, resume templates and advise, interview tips etc) but at the same time you feel like, Kerri (the author) is your own coach! It digs deeply in the thoughts that might keep us back from achieving our greatest potentials."It deserves every penny you spent to buy it" statement is not enough to describe the effect of this book on my job search and overall my mindset!!My suggestion is to work on the exercises suggested in each step and also better to buy a hard copy since I have made too many notes and highlights on the electronic form that's hard to deal with:/ (I bought kindle version because the delivery in my area takes longer) .

Affordable and impactful way to think about your career
I am loving this book and I have been using some of the content to help me with questions and activities with students. I and am finding that some pieces of it really land with them especially in the confusion of a pandemic. The book has been really insightful for me as a careers coach and the strategies have landed with me so much better than most models I've seen and worked with. I'd highly recommend it!

Career Coach Approved!
I've worked with over 1,000 job seekers, and participated in over a dozen different job-readiness training courses. Out of all of the trainings I've been to, Kerri's trainings are the most nourishing and holistic for job seekers. Needless to say I was very excited to get the book!I've had a chance to read through the Career Stories Method book and I think this is an excellent resource for any job seekers seeking to transition their career. What makes her approach different: Kerri uses fun exercises to tease out your best stories, understand your interests and strengths, and develop a gentle plan to focus your career transition efforts. For many career coaches, you can get lost in the same advice over and over again, but Kerri's creative side, coaching side, and desire to seek fun comes out in creating this step-by-step guide to make a career transition to a job you love.

ENERGY, clarity, and then strategy! In that order!
Most career coaches and books focus heavily on strategies to write resumes, beat the system, or network. Some go a bit deeper and help provide clarity on one's personality, strengths, and skills. These certainly help people with landing "good" jobs but they're often on the search again when the shine of the salary, benefits, title, etc. wear off. Kerri does something very unique in that she starts with ENERGY! Her Career Stories Method provides the reader an easily accessible tool to understand what energizes them and makes them feel alive. And then she takes the reader step by step on gaining clarity and developing strategies to test and connect with work that recreates that energy. What happens after? Poof, you love what you do and you spread that love! Thank you Kerri! :)

Do you know who you want to be when you grow up?
If you are an adult and still don't know who you want to be when you grow up - this book is for you. If you are driving your career and are not sure on how to get to the next stop - this book is for you. If you are a career coach or career mentor or in a role where people look at you for career advice - this book is for you.Kerri takes career development and makes it simple and fun. She breaks down career management process into a series of exercises that ends up with a resume. She focuses on the inner self-awareness steps that needs to happen before you create your resume. I especially loved that Kerri slipped a number of meditation or meditation-type exercises in her book, mediation is a powerful self-awareness enhancing tool, it also helps develop resilience and equanimity required to go through a career transition process. Career self-awareness is key to career happiness.Kerri shares her own journey and tells other people's stories from her career coach experience. She also has an amazing sense of humour.

The Kerri Twig Way!!
I want to thank Kerri for making this process of figuring out:- how to write a resume & cover letter- make a good first impression on your LinkedIn page- prepare for your intervieweasier and using small, baby steps to get there. I was working for 8 years, since it was the same job I never paid enough attention to my resume but when I sat down to actually write an updated one I had a hard time. Then I came across this book and I’m glad I took a workshop on Kerri’s website as well.I would recommend this book. And I won’t take off any stars for the few typos present because it does not take away from the helpful content that the book offers. Thanks again Kerri.
