Just what was needed. Saved me hundreds.
My Ford Explorer was sticking in Park more frequently. Looked online for a fix and found that this was the part that might solve the problem. While it was very hard to get to, it was not impossible. Once I removed the center console, the switch was easy. No more issues getting out of Park.

exact replacement, also my O/D switch started working again, I think it my run through the small black connector, which was crudded up, so this new one fixed that too

Exactly the fix for the shift lever not getting out of park.
Great price, not too bad to install, and fixed the Explorer shift lever not getting out of park. FYI, it is not a problem with the brake switch if the brake light are working.

Took about 15 minutes total to replace. Take the console out, it only takes a few minutes, and is well worth it

It works
The shifter was not letting go of park on first try of pressing down the brake pedal. Did a little research and found was told to replace this part. Did so and now shifts the 1st time like it's supposed to. I did this for an 06 explorer and it's not the easiest to do and will test your patience but was able to do so useing needle nose pliers and small flat tip screw driver

Works Fine, but did not last
I was not sure if this was the problem with my 2008 Explorer "Sometimes" not wanting to shift out of park, but I had to try something. It was a PITA to install, because of where it was located, but it is working as it should.UPDATE: Changed my rating to 1, because it only lasted a month. I did not know what else to try so took my Explorer to a garage, as I had just replaced the interlock, they didn't think that could be the problem (so it cost me more labor for them to troubleshoot the problem). It ended up the module went bad, and as I was past my 30 days, I can't send it back to get a refund. Not sure how the one from the garage is going to last, as it is the Exact same part, but at least I will get a warranty from the garage as they purchased and installed it.

The product worked great.
We ordered this product because our 2007 Ford Explorer was not shifting properly out of park. This product was a bit difficult to install but once we got it installed it solved the problem and the vehicle now works properly.
