Good story
This is a well written, contemporary bully romance. It's not what I would call a typical bully romance. I'd actually say it's more about another male individual who way oversteps. Yes it does cover potential sex attacks that are stopped so it may have triggers for some. It's also not the most horrendous bully romance I've read. I like that it's a standalone with no cliffhangers. All in all well written and flows nicely.

Few things unfinished
I know this is part of a series but as Remmington and Jules story effectively ends, I can't help feeling there were a few things left. There is darkness in the writing, touching on subjects of sexual abuse and rape including drug use. It's not too dark but it's there. The story is well written, these authors obviously work well as a due together, you cannot tell that there are two writers.****SPOILERS****The things unanswered - that MAY come in other books but it would be weird as its not their story.... Jules never actually finds out about the bet.We don't know how Jules father diedIf they wear all so close, why did no one speak for 3 years? When did Cole take the pictures? It says she was passed out but her version of the story she never did...Vance is next but I'm also hoping for Sebastian and Alexander's story...

When there is darkness
It's a great book. I just feel like the way rem is lost, hurt, broken that the way he goes about revenge doesn't register with me.I get why he was suffering etc I just can't get my head around the way he started. He was pure evil. And who knows why cole was the way he was. Messed up big time.I enjoyed it all the same and that's why I rated it 5 stars :)

Romance
I'll be honest the main guy is a male appendage. He's awful, not likeable at all. His best friend reeters his life and he decides he hates her for leaving to live with her father. She's just trying to make something of herself and is so happy to be reunited with her childhood friend only this is met with disdain and hate.Definitely a page turner with good characters and dialogue, nice easy plot to follow, however the male lead assaults his childhood friend, I didn't like him and the female lead hasn't seen him in years and doesn't see what he does as assault? If I met a childhood friend and he did that I would be calling the police and having him arrested. It was difficult to get on his side or hers thereafter. It was well written just frustrating because it's all there just didn't like the male character. She should have gone out with the older brother who was nice.

Misplaced Anger
The story has bits that are sweet and others that are possibly triggering. I can see the dark elements but in other parts are a bit well just missing. How does her dad and brother die? I suppose it isn't the key to the story but surely if your best friend and the brother of your girlfriend dies you' d ask what happened that both died together. Then there is the kinda strange way her mom essentially abandons her and his family sorta adopts her but she is allowed to sleep with her boy best friend in his bed at his house. I guess it works but I can't really see his dad just letting it happen... I guess if I ignore the bits that are strange the story is a good one. I was just a tiny bit disappointed when she clearly seemed to like the rough way he was with her when he was still angry, but he then is more sweet after she clearly had indicated she liked him being a bit dirty and rough.... But I think this maybe a younger crowds story so maybe the bdsm scene might be a bit too intense.

Great easy read
The book has similar traits we find in the other books by these authors. The main characters are just a little too contrived for !e, the angry young college but and the grieving female. I am going to read the next instalment of the series though.

The heart wants what to heart wants
“She was mine first, and always will be and we have a history. She’s mine to ruin mine to break.” If you like a second chance bully romance with a whole lot of angst this is for you.Rem and Jules grew up together have been best friends since they were 5 at 15 she moved away due to her parents divorce. Rem sees this as a betrayal in his mind and when she returns three years later to the same college he wants revenge for her breaking his heart. Poor Jules is just a sweetheart she is a dealing with two devastating loses in her life and when she sees Rem she thinks they can go back to how they were and she sees a dark side of him.The frat house has a yearly bet where they get a girl they have to sleep with and then break their heart as fate would have it he got Jules. There are parts that go exactly how you thought they would but then at the last minute a twist you didn’t see coming. This was so good I can’t wait to finish the series.~~What to Expect~~💔Bet Trope💔Childhood Friends to Enemies to Lovers💔College💔Bully💔Second Chance💔Found Family💔Reformed Playboy💔Brother’s Best Friend~Quote~🥀 I would do anything to make you mine again, and I will, make you mine again. As long as it takes, I’ll wait. I’ll climb whatever mountain I have to, be whoever you need me to be. I’ll do it because you’re worth it Jules, you’re f-ing worth it.”

Best I 've read in a while
If you need warnings maybe it's not for you. I need to buy and keep this book to read it again. I recommend it. Maybe it was a wee dark for some, but I didn't think so. It was well done. v

A friends to enemies and the journey back
A gripping tale of friends to enemies and back, plenty of twists and turns. Some characters you despise and grow to love and others you grow to despise whereas others you like all the way through. Remington and Jules were best friends growing up until circumstances pulled them apart and drove a wedge between them. They meet up again years later but can the past be overcome, will the danger, Remington's actions and attitude or even circumstances drive them apart permanently? The book kept me enthralled and want the next one in the series now. Warning there may be content that some readers may be sensitive too.

Pretty Good First Book...
I enjoyed this book 1 in this series. I do have it listed in my enemies to lovers category but I am not really sure it is accurate.Remington ( I have to say I love his and his brothers names!!) was an angry guy and I did feel for him at first but he was a little bit whiny and kept going on about how Jules left him which wasn't true but how he perceived it. I am glad his Dad set him straight on this.He was a vengeful kind of guy and just immature really and even though he did do some terrible things during this book it wasn't the worst things I have read in an enemies to lovers book.It was good that he eventually did realise his behaviour was not the best and made up for it with Jules.Jules I felt for from the beginning. She did not seem to have had the best life but the best part was her growing up with Remington and his family. It was nice to read her being brought back for the Sunday family dinner and having them all there.Their chemistry was good when they finally came together after Remington dealing with his issue's and being set straight and it was great to see Jules step up and straighten out the misunderstanding that Cole set up.Overall, it was a pretty good book. Yes it had some hard parts to read and the behaviour wasn't the best but then it was listed as an enemies to lovers book with warnings etc. These days authors are pushing the boundaries with some of these topics and so I knew going into this story I could come across things that might be uncomfortable to read, but again I was warned before I started and still chose to read this book. Each to their own on how they see this book. For me, I enjoyed it for what it was.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
