Great boots in dry weather. But the photo shows my wet socks after a walk in the park on wet grass - not mud or puddles, just grass! So the maker's claim of 'water resistant' is absolute nonsense. In my experience, these boots let in more water than ordinary shoes do. I've used Panama Jacks for many years and they used to be really good in all weathers but, as other reviewers have said, the quality has declined a lot. They are still comfortable to wear but probably not worth the money unless quality improves.

What a change. Until this boot, I would have given these 5*. Quality has decreased hugely. Beware.I've been buying this boot for years. Normally I get 3 years wear. I replace when the sole has worn down on the heel and front, and the internal lining has broken through on the heel. I bought my latest boots in April. After only 6 months the sole has worn down and the lining broken on one boot. At this rate, these boots won't last a year. What a change.

I am buying them since 1998 when I have first tried them out in Spain for the first time, before on line shopping was available. Since then I have stopped searching for other brands. They are very comfortable and supporting the feet for a whole working day. However I do not understand why the special grease, brush and spare laces were missing , may be their are two types of contents and a proper “what is in the box” list should be in the product description.

The same great Panama Jack Boots that I have been wearing for many years. Now on my fourth pair. Despite what other reviews may say, there does not appear to be any compromise on quality.

There was No wax, sponge or spare laces in the box when my husband opened it on Christmas Day. However it does say these are included in the description and whenever he has bought these boots before they have ALWAYS been in the box.Please could you forward them onto me. Thankyou.
