Brass Garden Hose Connector Repair Mender Kit with Stainless Clamp,Fits 1/2 Inch Water Hose Fitting,2-Set

When I opened the package, I was suspicious that the fittings were made of aluminum, because they were so light. But they do appear to be made of brass, albeit of relatively thin gauge. The stainless steel clamps it came with are much better quality than I was expecting.. thick metal, nicely finished, and they really hold tight w/o slipping/stripping. There was absolutely no leakage.The material is 4 star, but heavy brass fittings cost more than double the price, so 5 stars for the value. For typical home garden use, this set looks like it will hold up. I am writing this review shortly after I installed it on my leaky hose. I will come back and revise my review if it doesn't live up to my expectations.

This kit contains 3 male hose ends and three female ends. These are not cheap made pieces of crap. They are solid brass and include the rubber washers and also 6 stainless steel worm gear clamps. This is the deal of the year! If you need to rebuild your garden hoses, this is the kit for you. I recommend this kit with a passion!

I took a last chance on this product to try and repair 100 feet of heavy duty garden hose I have in my backyard. This product totally worked! I was able to mend my two 50-foot, heavy duty garden hoses using this kit. When I finished installing the repair kit, it worked so well, there has never been even one drop of water that has leaked from the repaired area. Please know that I'd previously bought another type of garden hose repair kit from Ace Hardware. No offense to Ace but their kit was the wrong product and it was a total fail!

I bought this cause my water hose unfortunately got a small tear In the tubingso this is a easier cheaper alternative to replacing the whole water hose. I just cut off small area that was damaged. As long as cuts a straight and not crooked when you use the screw clamps and tighten the connector enough you shouldnt have any leaks or at most a very small drip of water when I'm use if fastened properly. The screw clamp can be a little difficult just keep adjusting the tension it will work

The connector is fine and average condition. The hose clamp is cheap and worthless. I stopped on of the clamp trying to get it tight enough so it won't leak. I bout a better clamp from thr hardware store.

Seems to be made right

I have been having the plastic hose end repair connector coming off. They are not holding up against the water pressure when the timer shuts off . I got these because I could apply more clamping pressure. (I can tight these down more.) They have held up for three weeks with no failure. I wish the couplers were a bit longer. These brass parts should last longer than aluminum ones.
