Works great, cold as the North Pole
I dont know if this is truly Denso OEM for the price, but it works like factory on my Civic. My original compressor was bogging down the motor, and this one is silent, doesnt seem to affect the motor at all, brisk as the arctic, and I am going to use it often this tank to see how much more gas it makes the motor use. It fits with no problem. Im very happy with it so far.

This compressor appeared identical to the original taken from my 2002 Civic. As scuh, it fit perfectly and worked perfectly. Unfortunately, it did not come with o-rings for the connections. The sizes are 1/2" and 5/8" (strange they're not metric), however there are different variations of those in terms of thickness. You can get the original Honda o-rings (and practically every part needed to buld a complete car) from hondapartsnow.com.The official Honda manual calls for draining oil from the replacement compressor such that the volume of oil in the new one is the same as the old, with the caveat that "Even if no oil is drained from the removed compressor, do not drain more than 50 ml (1 2/3 fl oz, 1.8 lmp oz) from the new compressor"Removing the power steering pump is fairly easy. The bolt under the belt is a bit difficult to reach.For the alternator, which must be removed next, it's easier to remove the wires after pulling the alternator. Then the alternator bracket must be removed. Intersetingly, the bracket can be installed at any angle from a single mounting bolt. I put it on loose, just short of tightening, then installed the alternator, also loosely, and holding it out as far away from the crankshaft pulley, I then tightened the bracket bolt.The compressor is not too tough to get out. The top two and rightmost bottom bolts can be loosened before disconnecting the refrigerant lines.You should always replace the receiver-drier with the compressor. The warranty for this compressor requires it.

Worked first time installed. Many of them said they didn’t.
Easy to install, worked right out of the box. Check your belts, mine were very cracked. Replaced them for $30.
