Sweet little shoe for a pool workout.
These shoes are a lifesaver for me. I do most of my exercise in a pool. The bottoms of my feet were getting roughed by the little irregularities at the bottom of the pool. I purchased these to combat that. Not only do they pad the bottom of my feet, they offer a bit of support and great traction for jogging in the shallow pool.I generally wear a 6.5 or 7, but these size six are large enough with room to spare. The only issue I have is that the strap is not quite long enough to strap across my right foot, which is misshapen due to an accident. Also, reviews mentioned the insoles fall out, so I proactively purchased Shoe Goo and glued the insole in to prevent that.Edited to add: I proactively glued down the insole, but then the fabric on top of the insole came off. This disappointments me greatly and I have changed my review from 4 to 3 stars.

Sand and rocks get stick to the adhesive inside and make this a painful shoe to wear!
I did not like these shoes at all. I took them on a beach snorkel and short hike tour over the course of 5 days and I threw them away at the end. They are okay comfortable when you first put them on. However, they are horrible for the beach for several reasons. First, the water fills up the shoes so you are slogging through the water if you're trying to walk or swim. Then, the sole starts to come apart, but the adhesive is still there, and sand, rocks, twigs, etc. get stuck to the adhesive and are very, very hard to remove. So, you have a wrinkled insole and lots of sharp things in your shoe. It really hurt on the hike!I liked that they were mesh and I liked that the strap was adjustable and they were a comfortable fit. They just didn't do well as a beach shoe.If you are solely going to be in water without any small debris, they are probably fine.

Strange fit, strange design.
HUGE. They really need to provide a sizing chart that skews towards the accurate sizing on this shoe. I wear a size 8 shoe. I ordered a 7, reading previous reviews stating they run large. They're STILL too big. WAY too big, not only in the actual sole, but all around the shoe. There are gaps at the top of the instep and sides for me. So, I wouldn't bother with a 6. I don't know if the folks who manufacture this shoe actually realize it's supposed to be a tight fitting stretchy sock type fit so that they don't get sucked off in the water. The strap is velcro and cotton, not stretchy material. The 'bracket' that holds the strap to the shoe where it doubles over on the instep is flimsy thin metal like a paper clip (metal?? for water socks? Huh.). So, even if you try and tighten it down, the bracket twists and elongates. If your feet are 'thin' you'll be at the very end of the capacity, using only a tiny bit of the velcro- so not much security there. And even stepped down you have gaps between the shoe body and your foot. Very strange shoe. The sole portion is sturdy and the design is so much cuter than normal hideous water shoes, so I'll give it two stars. I think if you figure out the right size and have extra wide (chubby) feet these might work for you. If that doesn't describe you- don't buy these.

The Mary Janes Athletic Mesh Aqua shoe is my fourth pair of swim shoe. The first three came from various manufacturers. I find the Mary Jane quite comfortable. The flexibility of the shoe lends itself to be used for lengthy periods for a variety of aqua sports. Because of its fit and stylish appearance the shoe can also be used for purposes other than that for which it was manufactured. Having had the use of these shoes for a while I can certainly recommend them without hesitation.

Cute but probably not very functional
I normally am between an 8 and 8 1/2. I ordered the 8 because I didn't want these to come off in the water. They fit me like an 8 1/2. The heel is wide and slips off easily. I haven't worn them in the water but I can't imagine they'll stay on to swim in. Also, the strap is very flimsy, like ribbon. The ring it slides through is rectangular and slips around so the strap keeps getting loosened. I think they'll be ok for boating but probably useless for swimming or if you were going to be doing a lot of walking in the water.

Hate is a strong word, but still one star
I used these for water aerobics and they were super heavy when wet. They also had to be readjusted many times. The loop that holds the strap would turn, and the shoe sometimes fell off. The length of the shoe was okay outside of water, but then it was way too large in the water. I also noticed, as I wrapped them to return, that the tread on the bottom was very worn after only two pool uses--not pool deck--in the water uses.

Cute but not practical.
I missed my return deadline, so it's going off to a donation box. It's a cute shoe, but the heels don't come as high up as it looks and my feet kept slipping out of them when I walked across the room. As I bought them to prevent injury since I have neuropathy, this wasn't going to work. I wound up buying a regular water sock style which stays on my feet as it should.

Water Aerobics
I wear them for about an hour for water aerobics. They are light and comfortable. You can possibly wear them longer than an hour. Normally, I wear an 11W shoe. This shoe is not a wide shoe but I am able to wear them. I have an high instep so the strap across the shoe could be a little longer but I am still able to fasten and they are not too tight across my instep.
